Circulation at newspapers shrank at an accelerated pace in the past six months, driven in part by stiff price increases imposed by publishers scrambling to offset rapidly eroding advertising sales.

I think the internet, TV and hi prices are a huge contributing factor.. also sometimes accessability can to be cause for lower sales.

Our little weekly newspaper in Boulder City, Nevada, put out its last edition last Thursday. They published the weekly paper for 69 years! I think it is sad and I will miss our small town paper.

I'm saddened in seeing our most traditional way of receiving news going by the wayside. It still is the best connection to not only the worldly hotspots, but most importantly, what is happening in one's community.

Also, as pointed out by Andy Rooney, have ya ever noticed that when one reads the internet, they lean into the screen, but while reading the newspaper lean backwards...I prefer the backward way...
