I see no logic in this political party boycotting such a very important issue?

I find it interesting that here in Canada, Conservatives, which I do not at all parallel to the US Republican Party, seem to think along the same lines when it comes to the environment.

Maybe if it came with vending machines with a tax revenue for the government in both our countries, they might lift a boycott as our leader has done similar issues.

Makes you wonder?

Oh dear we need to get rid of this NO party. Are there any decent republicans out there anymore? Who knows. All the repubs care about now are the rich white men. Money and greed greed and money, and to think they claim to care so much about religious morals and values. I want to gag!

Sure, there are some people who profess to believe that mankind is causing damage to the planet, and they might actually it. In any case, actions speak louder than words.

When I was in high school, girls were attracted to guys with cars. At times, I wonder if people are in touch with reality - has anything changed? There certainly wasn't any discussion on the female students about cars and pollution.

I go by what people do, not what they aay. I hear continually about meat and the environment - and I agree - I have been flexitarian since May, 1992. And I know that same time Bill Clinton ate at McDonald's, and the public and the media praised him for it.

You clearly are avoiding the truth which is that the Republiscumbags who OBSCURED THE TRUTH and created an entire fictionalized scenario to cover up their numerous domestic and warcrimes against the Iraqi, Afghani and the U.S. Public!!!!! In effect, it is THEY WHO ARE THE B.S. of which you allude to......

It looks like the republicans did not get their way by acting like children - Boxer blew right past them - WAY TO GO BOXER (she is my senator and I am proud of her) - maybe the republicans will get the message: "either be part of the solution,or get out of the way"...

Senate panel passes plan to limit greenhouse gas emissions

In a move that stoked optimism for global climate negotiations, but raised tempers on Capitol Hill, Democrats on a key Senate committee swept aside a Republican boycott on Thursday to pass a far-reaching plan to limit greenhouse gas emissions.
