It's a start in the right direction but for sure NOT the ANSWER!!! and, probably no where near enough money --- considering the years this will affect the whole world! They're getting off awful easy!

Oh dear! What will those ?poor? investors do without their dividends this quarter? Suck it up and tighten your belts like you've been telling us, the common people, to do for years now.

Do they really think $20 billion will be enough? At least it's not capped at that amount. There will be fines imposed also. Let's just hope they don't get bailed out after all is said and done.

So sad...BP execs won't be getting those whopping dividends Maybe they will have to cancel that expensive vacation and spend time cleaning up the Gulf.

With this President Obama has done more to stand up to corporations than anyone in the history of the United States. Good job Mr. President.

Matthew I would like for you to explain why you feel the way you do about Obama b/c I just dont see it that way - everytime there is a crisis Obama takes days to comment - he is President and Americans look to him for guidance on how to handle these issues - when he takes days to comment, what kind of message does that show - that its no big deal? It is a big deal - there are now more Americans not working - animals dying - tourists spots loosing money hand over foot...

Totally agree with Monica!!!!

This NOT ENOUGH!!! Still the spill continues and our creatures suffer, as well as Humans (frankly I am more more the creatures, but do care about what is going on with all of the Coast!)

Sadly Monica, I did agree with Ch. Hardy...this President is out to lunch someplace and it is not in an area that takes care of ENVIRONMENT, PEOPLE, OR CREATURES..

I want some JUSTICE FOR THIS MESS and I want it cleaned up quick and all of our creatures taken care of...

Sadly, this is a fairy dream, this will continue for decades and THIS PRESIDENT DID Nada FOR 30+ days...shows me I am living in the wrong LAND!!!

I'd like to know what kind of liability insurance they carry and who is their carrier. The more I read and the longer this takes I think this is a bigger scam than the bailouts.
