What else can we expect from these people? They would do far better as Israeli citizens.

Noted. Passports are used as leverage on both sides of the fence, and the people there are suffering at ALL the hands attacking them. Everyone has an opinion on what should be done, with more emphasis on Israeli interests, but would any of you like it if your homes & country was invaded? Would you like it if the World took what is written in a book and cut apart your country to give to someone else? Would you like it if your people were tortured and killed to rid the land so that YOU can claim the entire space?

Sorry Stan but I will never believe/feel that Palestinians (both Muslim & Christian) would be better off as citizens of a stolen land. What if someone should write a book, and outline what they see fit, and in decades to come a people can use that information to stomp out everyone else. Would that sound good to you? Israelis broke peace the moment they built settlements in territories not belonging to them. No peace process will ever happen until they cease their continued attack on the Palestinian people. If someone was doing that to my homeland I'd fight with all my breathe to keep what's mine.

Is this surprising to anyone. It is not like Hamas, even though democratically elected, is the solution to Gaza's problems. Not the poster child for the democratic way.The PA seems to be the shell of a government and ineffectual is not really representing the Palestinian interests. Time for an election on both fronts.

Many Palestinians died because of that feud. I hope Gazans will do much better at the next elections.

Margaret says Hamas was democratically elected. Well, so was Adolf Hitler!

Think you are right Bob - they would be better off as citizens of Israel - but can you trust them? After all they did vote for Hamas.

Israel was marked in top 10 or top 20 of the best countries in the world, so I am sure lots of Gazans would want to join the club, like lots of Egyptians do. Why should Israeli want that? Those guys did vote for Hamas. Sort of like getting in lots of Omar Khadrs at the same time.

Let Gazans and West Bankers build themselves whatever they can. If it will be good - borders will become less obtrusive. If they build something fanatical and intolerant - the fence should grow a bit bigger. Up to them.
