To have credibility within the Republican party is to have none outside it. They act as if all their Kool-Aid has been spiked.

One could say that they are a brainwashed lot, but then one would have to assume that they had a brain.

The "right" will believe anything their choir sings to them. Faux Noise, Hannity, Beck, Palin, Bachmann, Limbaugh. They like what is said and for reasons most sane people can't explain, they believe all the lies and continue to watch and listen.

Wait until SS is defunded, Medicare takes a hit, they defund the new HealthCare, raise taxes on the middle class, go after PP, which in the long run will cost MORE $$ as they do more than just abortions, they just cancelled the Obama plan for foreclosures, now talking about a government shutdown. Maybe, just mabye as these things begin to happen they will realize they have been lied to and taken for the fools they apparently are.

If they repeat it long enough and practice the weekly script they are handed.. they believe it. Otherwise they would have to commit Hari Kari if they saw how unethical they are.

It seems to be a running Republican theme to stick to their guns (so to speak) even when the facts show them mistaken. Their policies have been and still are destructive. They thrive by appealing to people with certain biases and prejudices in order to help them give more power to corporations and the wealthy. The corporations are making greater profits but jobs are still not available. 8(

Most are not educated ecept in their false religous beliefs and get their talking lines from Fox or Sarah Palin whose as dumb as a stump . What can you expect ! Most are so ignorant that they don't even realise they are being used for the Koch brothers gain ,hell some of them don't even realise Koch is financially funding them.

The fact is that no matter how discouraging things look, we should NOT fall prey to the ONLY winning tactic the GOP has... keeping people from voting, either by discouraging them, intimidating them or even letting us believe that there's no chance they'll win. THAT ALONE caused the "shellacking" democrats received in 2010. Their base is finite and divided. We have the numbers to send them packing, but it will take some backbone by the progressives currently in office, bold stands by our candidates, and some soul-searching by the President. You can't compromise with these scumbags... you can only get them down and grind them into the dirt. That's the nature of the game, and if you won't play to win, then you shouldn't play at all.

The ones that have not be hypnotized by wealth and greed from the corps are brain dead. Looking into Scott Walker's eyes as he drones on like a broken record proves it.

Surely there are some who don't; if not 2012 might be more than interesting.

I was going to comment on this story, but I found myself ranting incoherently (and with very bad language) so I had to delete the original comment.

Now that I'm a bit calmer, I'm just going to say the Republican leadership reminds me of a bunch of spoiled brats throwing temper tantrums, and I'm going to stop at that if it kills me.

The Republicans are puppets. Someone pulls the strings, their legs move, their arms move, their mouth moves but there is no brain controlling these movements.

Dems are puppets as well - just look at Obama, who the heck do you think is behind him pulling his strings...its amazing the hyprocrites that come out just to bash Republicans and fail to realize its the same for both sides...

Hahahahaha. Of course, that's why all the newly elected corporate-loving puppets in congress are sitting there destroying our country; not to forget the idiot anti-american governors causing havoc to the hard working poor and middle-class in the midwest/northeast/south. And don't forget all the FAUX news/hate radio blowhard liars. They actually believe them too. Incomprehensible. God save America, deliver us from repuglicons!

"So we should stop believing what we want and believe ya'll? What makes that any different?"

Thank you Kat H., for your usual transparency. You highlight with your question the problem we face when dealing with your personality type, and methodology, (none), and that is, as you point out, that you believe "what you WANT" .
This must be contrasted with that which I and many of my friends here attempt to do, which is to research and through careful deliberation and confirmation, i.e., crosschecking/referencing... discern as best we can, the truth of a thing, deciding in the end NOT based on what we WANT, but on what we find, based on Facts, to be true.

As you just pointed out. You choose based on what you want... so making the point of this post, not only as to what and how much, but the why of it. You people buy into so much crap, then go out and laughably/tragically misspell signs demanding your fanciful and destructive beliefs, be made law.

Fox news knows how you operate, and they know what you fear, and who you hate, and they give you exactly what is they know will keep you over there on the crazy fringe, voting against any attempts to rein in out of control Corporate power, not surprisingly represented by Fox. Instead, always, always... pointing to Gov't as the villain, except when Gov does its bidding as the Repubs/baggers most often do.

Gov't period... is not doing this well. Neither now are checking Corp. power. They are weak and love money/power and play the game. With each Dem defeat they move more right to appease, in hopes of winning against the lockstep stupidity thrown at them.

Your votes based on Fox lies are the best weapons the desire for Total Corporate Control (Fascism) has in this country as Republicans and there delusional baggers, are the standard bearers in this effort and Dems in a hapless desire to win become much like them. In the end, those who say both sides are the same, are often doing all they can to make that statement true.

Thanks, most conservatives I know don't watch Fox, and most liberals I know don't watch MSNBC. Tells you something, doesn't it.
