Buy recycled toilet paper. It doesn't make sense to flush our forests down the drain.

Surely anyone with a bit more than half a brain, with even a little conscience and concern about the World's remaining natural Flora, Fauna and its habitat when seeing a label that says "Made in Indonesia" or "Made from materials from Indonesia" would put the product back on the supermarket shelf immediately. One way or other the Indonesians and their corporate clients, prove over and over that in matters environmental they are not to be trusted in any way.

Thanks Cal. Noted. As I live in Australia, this is very relevant to us! Especially as our local supermarket is an IGA. I will have to talk to the manger! Personally, I have been using some rather nasty 'iffy' looking recycled loo paper for AGES! ( itI looks as a bit 'pre-loved, and doesn't axactly enhance the bathroom, but is apparantly Australian and recycled) I really will try to look into this and see what can be done from here.

Cal, I have just thought. I am HOPELESS on the computer... Would it be possible for you to start a petition to go to the directors of IGA to say that we will boycott their paper.?.. I will write to them, but it would hold a lot more sway if it was backed by hundreds of people!

I use recycled paper and I use it carefully. there really is no need to use as much as people do. i found that the more psychiatrically disturbed, the more toilet tissue they used. One of my clients used a whole roll each time. Another on used nine rolls or more until she could feel "clean".
The Japanese have a good approach to this problem. they have special toilets that direct a stream of water onto the necessary area when one has finished and this leaves the entire area much cleaner than even my nine roller patient could hpe to achieve in her life time.
AS for me, when I'm on my own, i use a little watering can and little face washers.
i don't have to feel guilty about that tiger.
Please don't start me on paper nappies!

I thought all toilet paper was recycled, but I guess not. I don't know of any IGA products, but if I see them, I won't buy them.

Thanks Cal for this post. My dream is to see the scum-bastards at Asia Paper and Pulp OUT OF BUSINESS !
That video of the tiger death affected me so much I can't even think about it. I want this video on the morning, noon, and nightly news . Unlike so much of their crap news, this is important and should be seen by everyone multiple times until they're as horrified as I am.

To Nicky Melville: I'll' sign any petition you post

To Shelly Peterson : Tomorrowis my day off. I go to Wegman's to see where they get their paper products. Next I go to Giant, then Weis Markets. And anywhere else I can think of.
You cannot currently send a star to Shelly because you have done so within the last week.
