Hydraulic fracturing or "fracking" is being used to tap the last remaining natural gas deposits across large areas of the United States and western Canada, fueling continued dependence on hydrocarbons instead of a shift to genuinely clean energy sources t

A noted Environmentalist has said, that if Fracking is allowed, "Then, there goes the Planet -- it's all OVER!" {I am paraphrasing.}
I am quite sure this is accurate and NO exaggeration, from what I have read from Scientific sources.

The ads of the Oil Corporations, tell you that this energy is "clean".......!!!
{Maybe it BURNS "cleaner"; but the way of EXTRACTING it......}.

The Water Supply of City after City, Aquifer after Aquifer, has been PERMANENTLY POLLUTED by these GREEDY-FOR-PROFIT$$$$$$$ ABOVE-ALL-ELSE Oil Corporations;
WATER, not Oil, will be the SCARCEST COMMODITY OF THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY; the one that desperate WARS will be fought over.
The Oil Corporations are doing their very best to MAKE THE PLANET'S DRINKABLE WATER EVEN SCARCER THAN IT ALREADY IS.

Let's see, we're busy breaking up and chemically poisoning the planet ina bid to get the last bit of gas out of it (ultimately so some companies big leaders can get even richer). We're blowing the tops off mountains to get at the rest of the coal reserves in the planet (for the same reason). We're using up and destroying the world because of greed and the desire for power. But if we weren't already in the control of the 1% and their corporations ( with all our bought politicians) maybe we could start investing in the future generations and start using renewable energy sources. It's not like we don't know what they are or how we can do it. It's just that the 1% might lose some of that control and possibly shift some of their huge profits to some one else. I hate that everything comes down to money and power and who can grab the most of it. I hope they all burn in hell eternally for the ills they are inflicting on this planet. And I feel sorry for the masses of innocent (or possibly ignorant) public who are bearing and will bear the burden of this destruction.

It has already been proven that fracking kills communities. It makes the water poisoned and people who have lived in places for generations have had to abandon their homes and leave. The companies that do this want us to believe that it is safe but all they care about is the MONEY. They could care less about what they are doing to this planet.

Instead of wasting money in resources that might be gone in a few years, they should invest in renewable energies.

The French public seems (?) to be against fracking, so for now the government has slowed down/stopped the exploration-permits.

BUT, as Europe is in the midst of an economical crisis, two days ago the (state-controlled, as we are in a free country (???!)) television showed in the evening news an item about how well North Dakota was doing since the shale-oil extraction boomed. Fracking was mentioned and explained, no single word about the dangers, just plain jubilee.

Looks like fracking will be back in France soon.....

If you can't win them, buy them.

Poor planet, poor mankind, poor nature, all sold for the last drop of oil.

We just delivered over 10,000 anti-fracking signatures to NY governor Cuomo. Think he'll get the message or bow to his corporate masters?
