In terms of biodiversity, the hugely imperiled forests of Madagascar may be among the world's richest.

Madagascar is the most depressing place I've ever visited....hundreds of miles of forest--gone! All those ecosystems--gone! All those animals--gone!

We must do more to protect the last wild and biodiverse habitats of the world.

Madagascar has plants and animals that exist no where else in the world. Isn't that a good enough reason to leave it alone and let the unique animals and plants thrive?

We live and work in Madagascar. Since 2006, we've planted over 25 MILLION native mangrove trees. We're restoring the forests and transforming the lives of the Malagasy people on the northwest coast of Madagascar. If you're interested in being a part of this work to protect, educate and restore the great red island of Madagascar, check out Eden Reforestation Projects (www.edenprojects.org) and make a donation. $10 plants 100 trees!
