Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.) won election to the House in 2010 in part by arguing that the longtime Democratic incumbent she was challenging was insufficiently anti-gay

Is there a gauge for testing just how anti-gay one might be? Here we are in the year 2012, and the same old racism and bigotry is still going strong. Shame on those who voted based on this issue.

Wonder if she is anti-woman as well?

OK, I know these people think Obama wasn't born in this country, but are these birthers even born on our planet? They are pretty out there.

Maybe there's a METER somewhere which registers "sufficient" anti-gayness?

Somethings gotta give here...those tiny brains of theirs can only hold so much stupid before they explode.

How did she pass civics or the basic analytical skills tests that are supposedly requisite to high school graduation?

The dishonorable Ms. Hartzler has yet to produce any "real" evidence that her birth certificate is anything other than a complete forgery. I mean, really, does that woman even begin to look like a "real American?" Clearly, her extremist rhetoric demonstrates that she actually has anti-American, anti-colonialist Mau Mau tendencies. Needless to say, her anti-gay agenda says a lot about what's rattling around in her closet. ;-)

Seriously, however, is this the best that the Republican party of Missouri could do? Have Republicans at the state level grown so drunk on "tea" that they no longer care how ridiculous they look and sound? The two party system is corrupt enough without one of the parties going off the deep end.

I dunno, perhaps I'm being Utopian here, but shouldn't it just be possible to have a political system that doesn't allow racists, homophobes, bigots and the like to stand? It would be a better world if they were not in positions to force their dogma onto others.

Stupid is as stupid does. With the constant glorification of ignorance and blind obedience to authority, what else would you expect?

Slacker birther, lmao. She's a slacker alright. Little dumb too, okay a lot dumb. Even the most rabid of her party have given this issue up for dead long ago. Barry Goldwater must be spinning in his grave to think he shares the Arizona soil with these fools. There was a time when I never imagined I would think of him as a statesman, but, in comparison to what is happening in Arizona now, he was a liberal.

This "birther" BS is ludicrous. It would be a stretch of the imagination coming from a backwoods rube, but supposedly educated politicians creating these silly accusations? It must be desperation. Incite the ignorant in order to get votes.

OK, why isn't it a requirement for EVERYONE who starts thinking about running for office to produce their birth certificate??

Boy, the GOP just keeps cranking out these intolerant, ignorant bigots like they're going out of style and I wish they would so we can be free of their conservative nonsense.

You can always count on the repubs to vote for the candidate who is the most hateful and mean-spirited. After all, isn't hate at the top of their list of family values?
