Go Greenpeace. I saw a doco which is related to this. It was about China and how the world is struggling to keep up with the demand of so many consumers. The 8th richest man in the world who lives in Rio, Brazil, has made a deal with China to cell 60% of it's forest. I don't know where the President is in all this. Apparently it's being used for coal to heat metal to melt for China. After so many miles or kilometres on the clock of a car, they have to trade it in. So they have to get another car. See the pattern.

All countries have to stand up for their forests so that people, like the one Yulan mentioned, can not go to other countries to destroy theirs. Politicians must begin to see what is important and that is not always money. If Green peace succeeds in Brazil, and I hope they do, they will have to go from country by country because greed and stupidity are international .

What will it take to get it in these guys heads that deforestation is sooooooo wrong. That evidently do not understand that it will eventually kill them.

Good. At some point deforestation has to stop, the sooner the better. We might need changes to the economic system to make this possible. I like the ideas of CASSE at to create a sustainable economic system.
