Middle-Class Tax Cut Extension Passes Senate: Policy or Politics?

Senate Democrats squeak through an extension of middle-class tax cuts. Republicans deride it as damaging to the economy. And a January train wreck for spending cuts and tax increases looms even closer.

Good luck. The republican goal is to make certain President Obama only has a four year office no matter how destroyed our lives become.

Politics pure and simple.

Perhaps the votes didn't mean much given that all tax related bills have to originate in the House. However, this would not be the first time that the Senate has initiated a tax bill, and the House has taken it up, introduced and passed it, and then returned it to the Senate for approval.

What I find amusing is Jabber Jowls McConnell saying, on record, that the only reason the Republican/Teabaggers didn't filibuster the Democratic bill was because it didn't adhere to constitutional rules, mainly that all taxation bills must originate in the House, and therefore it could not become law. If ever there was an admission of obstruction, that was it!

One of these days, the Republican/Teabagger leadership (if that's what you call it!) will shoot the party in the foot and end up being as extinct as dinosaurs!

Time to call your Rep in the House to vote on and for the senate bill

Reaching my Rep in FL whose name is Rooney would be as doable as reaching Andy Rooney who is now dead. Rooney the Looney is a GOP/Teabuggerer.
