the future of our country depends on sufficient numbers of current and future college-age generations being able to afford the advanced education to add to economic growth, new industries and to respond to needed changes in current industries--if this issue is not addressed with that end in mind, we are doomed

I do not like young people being saddled with a lot of debt at the outset of their lives. It is all wrong. Student loan debt, mortgages and so on create a kind of slavery which can in pracice crush all our so-called freedoms.
