The whole world understands from scientific data that their is severe climate changes going on. But when you have billionaire (oil and coal companies) spending their money to get people to deny it, well now you see the problem. This is part of the republican platform to deny any problems like this exists, all for the power and greed benefit of these rich (lets just say) jerks.

Cree Prophecy:

When all the trees have been cut down,
When all the animals have been hunted,
When all the waters are polluted,
When all the air is unsafe to breathe,
Only then will you discover

You cannot eat money.

Noted with concern. We need to mobilise to get governments and parliaments to take significant action on climate change.

Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.

.........just one more piece of evidence of how humanity is changing the world......let us hope we think of the future and not just ourselves and our wants....

The present govts. of Canada and Alberta, home of the Oil Sands, seem to be mainly interested in proposals to deliver Oil Sands bitumen to Asia and anyone who will buy it if they can come up with ways to deliver it from its landlocked location. It remains to be seen if this can be stopped, but doing anything about global warming seems to be a non-starter I'm sad to say. As a resident of B..C., I note this story with great sadness also because it's as if we have forgotten the web of life and our connection to it, and are willing to turn blind eyes to global warming (or deny that it is man made) and its consequences to ourselves, planet Earth and its oceans.
