We need an all out war against these poachers. Organize a "hunt" against them, kill and stuff them, then put them on display in a poachers gallery!

Greed is not good. This is just one avenue for it to cause harm.

You've got to realize that poachers are just a small part of the problem.

Until you eliminate the poverty which drives poaching, you'll never save rhinos.

Remember too that the purveyors of rhino horn (and other animal parts) are now mixing it with VIAGRA, so it appears to work.

It makes me INSANE to realize we WILL lose rhinos due to human erectile dysfunction.

SAdly noted. Something must be done to prevent poaching and the se of animal parts in so called medicine. Thanks for sharing, Cal.

This is very wrong. They need to be better protected and the government can't protect them, then let another country or sanctuary have the Rhino so they can protect them. Once they are gone, they are gone forever.

I don't think "perish" is the correct word for the title of this article..."slaughtered" is more appropriate.

It's a horrifying thought that in my lifetime I may see the last rhino, the last elephant, the last tiger, the last lion, the last you-name-it-they-will-kill-it-for-the-asian-bogus-medical-trade! STOP THE KILLING! HAVE MERCY!

We need to spread the wealth to Africa that much of the world now enjoys. We also need to stop the trade in these items, given we apply sanctions to miscreant governments why aren't they being applied to the Chinese and other Asian governments who turn a blind eye to their superstitious rich who buy these products. Those are the people who need punishment not just the poachers.
