Would the corporations running these power stations like to pay for the damage if a disaster happened? How would one cost it, as cancers would turn up months or years later.

They keep taking chances with the lives of the public. Oh yeah, who cares about the public! Certainly not those responsible.

CAPITALISM HAS FAILED US. CORPORATIONS HAVE DECEIVED US. WE ARE HOPEFUL IN THE FACE OF EVIL, EVER DENIED SAFETY. NUKES SHOULD OF NEVER BEEN BUILT, BASED ON EARLY FINDINGS OF HORRIFIC POTENTIAL DANGERS. THEY WERE BUILT ANYWAY. HOW CAN WE GET THESE FOOLS TO
WAKE UP TO THEIR MISTAKES ?

The nuclear industry is totally dependent on our support and it is the most expensive form of electric energy production. The nuclear enrichment industry is a waste of public money.

I agree with JMA, nuke plants should never have been built in the first place. We could of been far ahead of the game had we gone with the truly clean technologies. But those who stand to make the money off nuclear kept preaching how safe and clean it was.......what a sick joke, it was neither.

I spent most of the seventies, all of the eighties, and well into the nineties fighting these cursed plants. Where was everyone? I got tired after awhile, I still sign petitions but I've gone into other causes for I got discouraged. After the Chernobly and the one in Japan, I thought for sure the public would rise up. Hardly a wimper.

Too many complain, too few actually DO anything about it. I've laid my body in the road, where was everyone else?
