Lurking behind the big banks is a mess of unregulated finance that could trigger the next financial blowup.

Free Market Capitalism is toxic to human beings, to the environment, and to the creation of a sustainable economy.

Color me not surprised. All the more reason to pull money out of big banks and go with little hometown banks or credit unions. If you don't, I am sorry to say you get what you deserve.

As G. K. Chesterton said of Christianity, free market capitalism "has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found difficult and left untried." What we have in the U.S. now is not free market capitalism, but rigged, bloated, greedy, monopolistic, plutocratic capitalism. I'm willing to concede that there are SOME things markets can do. As it is, they are not doing them.

I'd love to take my Business away from Bank of America, they hold my mortgage. But, remember when the government force the Big Banks to refinance eligible home owners at a lower rate? That was a scam. But, I was one of the few that they were forced to lower my interest. I can't do it now. My situation has changed. I am locked in.

Noted & thanks, Cal. I got out of Chase about a year ago and moved to a local credit union, and my kids did the same with their accounts. I tell anyone who brings up the subject to "Move Your Money."
