The US designated Hezbollah a terrorist organization in 1995. Key EU countries have blocked efforts to do the same.

Hezbollah is an out and out terrorist organisation. They are a proxy of the murderous regime in Syria and the mad mullahs in Iran.
I hope there is no more trouble from them but if there is I hope Israel teaches them a lesson they will never forget.

Hi Stan B,how would you like to live in Palestine and have your house bulldozed by Isreaelies and your children killed because they were throwing stones at Israel's soldiers with live guns?
We need to recognise Palestine as a Country and give the Palestinians the freedom they deserve.

Complex, indeed! Any organization which exists SOLEY to promote hatred and destruction of another organization should be disallowed in the EU.

Arild Warud. What does your irrelevant comment have to do with the topic? HEZBOLLAH?

Arild, there is already a country for Palestinian Arabs - it is called Jordan, it was created long time ago and actually managed to grab some land allocated for a Jewish state.

And you know, Arab nation is not entitled to grab ALL lands of the Middle East: Druze, Kurds, Bahai and many other nations are fighting to have their own states, and Arab states give them hell. Why should anyone be worried about Arab Nation getting 23-rd state, while many ethnic groups did not get one from them?

These US folk in congress should read history, it is not so black and white. Hesbollah are not Al Qaeda. They do represent people like the IRA did in Ireland. There was some justification for some of their acts but others were terribly wrong. The only way to break the cycle is through diplomacy not making out they are terrorists. Murder of innocents is always wrong. However, the US should take a running jump when they decide to strong arm the Europeans to outlaw them. Frankly it is none of their business and it about as stupid as this ongoing vendetta against Cuba.
