That Obama's electoral hopes might rest on Biden's verbal skills seems like Christmas for the GOP. Here, a few ways the vice president could turn the tables

The one constant about Joe Biden is that he is gaffe prone. He will be sure to bring with him a different accent, a great deal of drama as he gets into "acting" mode to deliver whatever pops into his mind. He's the gift that keeps on giving to the republicans. What was it he said recently about the middle class? That they have been in a bad place over the past four years? That he and Obama were going to raise taxes on the middle class? Have I left anything out?

Joe Biden can't defend four failed years so what's he going to talk about? Probably himself. Should be very entertaining.

Jake, the polls are showing positive results for Romney and it has our democrats on the defensive. Obama was never presidential material. It appears he had a lot to hide about himself and spent a great deal of money scrubbing the internet of his records (and Michelle's). What other president felt the need to do that?

I believe many of our liberals here on Care 2 have not read Obama's book "Dreams From My Father." Obama tells you who he really is and how he wants to carry out his biological father's wishes. Obama's father hated the UK and the US. Obama spells it out. The numerous racist comments Obama puts in his book are remarkable. Obama even turned away from his white mother. Know the man you have been supporting. Obama told you who he really is.

Biden hasn't sat for a nationally televised interview in five months. There's a reason for that!

I don't know if this is a great plan, starting with 1. First, make no gaffes (it is Joe), 2. Bring up Ryan's Medicare and Social Security plans (you mean the originally plan or the revised one, 3. 3. Politely press Ryan on Romney's untruths (after having lost on number 2, item 3 seems a lost cause), 4. Deploy the attacks Obama left on the table (the ones that would have made him look like a total idiot), do I need to go on? Just let Joe talk, he has a quality people seem to like (though I don't understand).

Joe Biden won't have a teleprompter not that it matters as it has a real issue "getting into the moment with a deep low voice" for effect because he loves drama. My guess is that he'll look like a foolish old man. He looks like Sam The Eagle on Sesame Street so maye he'll bring up his buddy Big Bird who, by the way, has asked the Obama administration to take down their Big Bird ads!!

Any way you look at Joe Biden the one thing that is impossible to do is actually predict how he'll perform. I don't believe even he knows that until he stands behind the podium and gets a "Joe rush" and then all bets are off.

He's a wild card.

Ryan is a numbers man a Gen-Xer full of vim and vigor and he happens to have a strong economics background. Ryan will appeal to many who voted for Obama in 2008.

Obama, the community organizer, hasn't gotten his "numbers" right in four year.

Well here is one way for sure. This 'debate' should be cancelled:

ABC News scrambles to downplay Obama’s attendance at VP debate moderator’s wedding

President Barack Obama was a guest at the 1991 wedding of ABC senior foreign correspondent and vice presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz, The Daily Caller has learned. Obama and groom Julius Genachowski, whom Obama would later tap to head the Federal Communications Commission, were Harvard Law School classmates at the time and members of the Harvard Law Review.

After TheDC made preliminary inquiries Monday to confirm Obama’s attendance at the wedding, ABC leaked a pre-emptive statement to news outlets including Politico and The Daily Beast Tuesday, revealing what may have been internal network pressure felt just days before Raddatz was scheduled to moderate the one and only vice-presidential debate Thursday night.

Both Politico and The Daily Beast jumped to ABC and Raddatz’s defense. The Huffington Post, a liberal news outlet, joined them shortly thereafter, while calling “unusual” ABC’s attempt to kill the story before it gained wide circulation.

Genachowski — called “Jay” at the time of his wedding, sources told TheDC — and Raddatz would go on to have a son together before their divorce in 1997. They have both since remarried to other people.

A source who attended the 1991 wedding told TheDC that Obama was also a guest there, and remembered that a man by the name of “Barry Obama” was among the guests dancing at the reception. (RELATED: Marital, personal ties link Obama administration to Commission on Presidential Debates)

In August, The Daily Caller first connected Genachowski, an Obama appointee, to Raddatz following her selection as the vice presidential debate moderator by the left-leaning Commission on Presidential Debates. That debate, between Congressman Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden, will take place Thursday night at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

Carol Platt Liebau, a political commentator who was a Harvard Law Review colleague of Genachowski and Obama, wrote that “despite being a year below both men on the Review and not close personal friends with either of them,” she remembered Genachowski and Raddatz’s relationship as “quite public” during those days, and that “Raddatz visited Boston frequently.”

Genachowski’s friendship with Obama would continue through the campaign trail in 2008 and into the White House: He aggressively fundraised for Obama in 2008 as a campaign bundler, and served on the presidential transition team before winning his appointment to chair the FCC.

On Monday evening ABC spokesman David Ford grudgingly confirmed Obama’s attendance at the wedding, after shielding Raddatz in August by declining to comment when The Daily Caller first reported the story.

“This is absurd,” Ford said, in the same statement now circulated by ABC’s media allies on the left.

Obama, Ford wrote, “attended their wedding over two decades ago along with nearly the entire Law Review, many of whom went onto successful careers, including some in the Bush administration,” he said without providing a specific number of Harvard Law Review employees to verify the statement.

When pressed further on Tuesday for a specific number of Harvard Law Review employees in attendance at the wedding, Ford could offer none, despite circulating the same unverified approximation through sympathetic media outlets earlier that day in order to discredit The Daily Caller’s reporting.

Ford also could not provide The Daily Caller with a specific number of Harvard Law Review employees who worked with Obama and Genachowski during that year. A photo taken of the Harvard Law Review during Obama and Genachowski’s final year of law school contains 70 people.

The ABC spokesman’s assertion that “nearly the entire Law Review” attended the wedding cast doubt on the significance of Obama’s attendance. But Ford’s unwillingness to document that claim now suggests that Obama was among a close circle of fewer Harvard classmates who were personal friends of Raddatz and Genachowski.

Instead, Ford maintained his ambiguity in subsequent statements to The Daily Caller, identifying only one other Harvard Law Review classmate of Obama and Genachowski who attended the wedding.

When TheDC asked Ford via email Tuesday night for further specifics on actual numbers, he did not respond with any.

The FCC, the Obama campaign and the Romney campaign also did not respond to The Daily Caller’s request for comment.

Did anyone watch Frontline last night? One of the interviewees who knew Romney said that Romney has never stood on values, he can't even think in terms of human values. He is out to win, and will stoop to any lie required, as long as he wins for all his own narcissistic reasons, but backed by the heinous group of the GOP, and quoting you, the "Republicans wish to establish a permanent totalitarian regime of one-party rule in which elections do not matter" will become the reality we will be forced to "live" in. Romney doesn't give a damn about this country, has no values except when it comes to his own dollar count, his loyalty is only to his Mormon church (which we know very little about, and fundamentalists should be turning away) if anything, and his win will be hijacked by the Limbaugh's of the world for their own ruling agenda. It will be whatever suits them and the rest of us are sheep to be harvested and slaughtered .

Obama wanted to unify and get everyone to work together, but they don't care about this country whatsoever. They try to paint him like a loser because he could not get the obstruction they posed out of the way of doing the right thing for the USA. What they stand for and what they have done is treasonous.

Their agenda is to take control and take away all our rights because we are in their way to world domination.......i.e., money in their own pockets, power for the elite who are all psychopaths if this is how they think. It all started with the Kennedy assassination, and its about to take its final move to take over everything. This is the ends justifying the means, which is how the mob operates. It is a degenerate agenda, and actually very evil when you consider that they have blood on their hands of millions of people.

Its like living in a Harry Potter movie, only worse. Its good vs. evil.
This is our lives, our country and we can't allow it.

VOTE OBAMA 2012, and get everyone out there!!! I urge all to take proactive action, because sitting on your behinds and shaking your heads is not going to do anything. Get out there and get people out there to vote, to wake up before its too late, to take the vampires and snakes down because that is exactly what they are.

Joe will probably be on the floor, Camila.

Your post above about an "invitee who said...." With all due respect, that's only one person's opinion and is meaningless. Anyone can say anything they want about another person but it doesn't mean that it is true.

The liberals are between a rock and a hard place because Romney is slightly ahead of Obama. Obama was never going to be a good president. All of you voted for Obama for all of the wrong reasons and that's why he is going to lose next month. The American people are smart. They will do what needs to be done this election year.

Jean, Joe Biden IS a nice guy and so is Obama. However, they are failures as President and VP. The liberals want to blame the republicans for Obama's four years of failure but the truth is that even Obama's own democrats turned against him and that's why he couldn't get anything passed. It's one thing for the "No More Spending" republicans who were voted in by the American people in November 2010 but when Obama's own democrats said "no" well, then, that's a completely different story and deserves to be brought up.

I got to shake Joe's hand recently, when he was in Iowa, and expressed my deep commitment and love. He is the real thing, and Ryan is a child with bad ideas and running on a sociopathic agenda.
I have heard that once in power, Ryan is planning to stop even alimony from women who depend on it, because after all, they believe that all able bodied people who can, must pull themselves up by their bootstraps and get out there to work even if its at Walmart or McDonalds to earn their own keep. They believe, after all, that we are not going to support the socialistic ideologies that alimony represents, and all must strive for themselves or borrow money from their parents.....crazy, eh?

Kamila A (141)

by the way, for all who don't understand the meaning of "sociopath" you ought to look it up for yourself. Here's a short version, and see how well it fits Romney, Ryan, and all the GOP cohorts:

The World Health Organization's International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, tenth edition (ICD-10), defines a conceptually similar disorder to antisocial personality disorder called (F60.2) Dissocial personality disorder.[4]

It is characterized by AT LEAST 3 of the following:

Callous unconcern for the feelings of others.
Gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations.
Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships, though having no difficulty in establishing them.
Very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence.
Incapacity to experience guilt or to profit from experience, particularly punishment.
Markedly prone to blame others or to offer plausible rationalizations for the behavior that has brought the person into conflict with society.

There may be persistent irritability as an associated feature.

The diagnosis includes what may be referred to as amoral, antisocial, psychopathic, and sociopathic personality (disorder).

So Much For Keeping The Momentum Going

The Romney/Ryan ticket walked into a buzz saw Thursday night during the Vice Presidential debate. That buzz saw was named Joe Biden. In stark contrast from President Obama's debate performance last week - Joe Biden was the aggressor all night - not letting one convenient lie from Paul Ryan go unchallenged.

Biden exposed Romney and Ryan's plans to voucherize Medicare. He exposed their plans to stick the middle class with a tax hike while giving the super rich a massive tax cut. He exposed the hypocrisy of Paul Ryan criticizing the stimulus act, while at the same time Ryan was writing letters to Biden asking for stimulus funding to create jobs in his Congressional district. He exposed Ryan's previous attempts to privatize Social Security. And he exposed Ryan as belonging to a Party that has been committed to obstruction over the last four years preventing a genuine economic recovery.

If Vice President Joe Biden accomplished one thing Thursday night - it was to hype the Democratic base - and give his and the President's re-election campaign some much needed energy and focus with just a few weeks to go until the election.

The debate is over --but where's Diane? I hope she watched it and learned the truth. The half-wits at Fox News are calling Joe a "jackass," yet the staff at MSNBC showed real class and honesty when they declared Romney the winner when he debated Obama and didn't resort to such childish tactics. That's because they're extremely intelligent journalists and news analysts who are concerned with the truth and not big-mouthed buffoons who like to scream at people they don't agree with and bleached blondes who were hired on the basis of their cup size instead of their IQ.

Joe did a great job --and he did it without lying. After all the insults he's endured and jokes made at his expense and all the lies that the Romney-Ryan team have been getting away with, he had every right to smile or laugh at each lie that came out of Ryan's mouth. To me, it was his way of saying, "he who laughs last, laughs best." I hope the "jackass squad" at Fox News were smart enough to realize that.
