Call on President Obama to build on his environmental record and put the health and safety of American families first by imposing strong safeguards on oil and gas drilling!

This nation desperately needs to be moving away from fossil fuels. Why can't the two dominant parties get that? It wouldn't have anything to do with the hundreds of millions of dollars in corporate "donations" that both establishment parties accept, would it? Noted. Signed.

Signed & Noted. Those of us who are against fracking will continue to sign and send these. We will be as relentless as the greedy Corporations who want to poison our environment. Even if this horrible method isn't "in my backyard today"---it will be there soon if I don't speak up now. Maybe it's not feasible to frack near where I live, but that doesn't matter either...we must stand up and defend each others' right to a clean, safe environment.

This is the one thing I am not happy about, that our President is ok with the fracking pipeline, although I will be voting for him. I do not understand why a foreign company can build this line through our country for getting second grade oil that will be shipped elsewhere, and very questionable emanate domain where people are losing their land, pushing through before safety measures are fully implemented and polluting our waters.

Has anyone checked out the Pew Conference non national energy policy thar took place on Oct. 5th in Washington, D.C.? If not I suggest you do. There are other options in renewable energy, ideas and research that are up and running. We need to put the pressure on State and local governments to invest in these kinds of options. My own town is offering solar energy plans that are affordable and getting even cheaper with the more people that sign up. We cannot afford to sit around and think we can do nothing! It is here and available. Make your town officials apply for these grants!!

Obama I'm sure "gets it" about the dangers of Fracking. Especially the Global Warming part of the Fracking. He is sailing close into the wind on this one while encouraging clean energy as much as he can against powerful and constant opposition.
