It's a VERY dark day indeed! Obama the worthless Socialist is still in Office. The chronic Liar who - by doing nothing - allowed 4 good Americans to be abandoned to die in Benghazi Libya. And the majority want this as a leader? Absolutely disgusting!

So the Lies didn't win, the HUGE amounts spent on propaganda {including the obnoxious trolls here on Care2 and on the rest of the Internet}, the blatant and ubiquitous attempts at Voter Suppression and Vote Stealing by the Republican Party {not just a few "bad apples", but as Republican Party POLICY};
the attempts to appeal to Fear, and Hate, and Bigotry, disguised Bigotry and quite open Bigotry, against Women, Gays, Blacks, and Latinos;
the Romney/Ryan/Republican attempts to DIVIDE us from each other;
these tactics DID NOT WIN. Congratulations to the American Voter!

This should restore our faith in the American Voter. As Lincoln said, You can't fool all of the people all of the time...

I only hope that the Repukelican Party goes down for the count, and a NEW third party comes up, that will be a real challenge to Obama, to become MORE Liberal and Progressive... {Obama is a Centrist, not a Leftist/Socialist.... but would that he were that! We need MORE "Socialist" policies to fight the Oligarchy represented by Rmoney and his super-wealthy cronies...}
Maybe the GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING represented by OCCUPY SANDY RELIEF will in 4 years, become the BASIS OF A NEW PARTY that will make the Repukelican "opposition" IRRELEVANT... as people wise up to the facts that "Socialism" ain't "Communism", ain't a bad thing, and will actually HELP PEOPLE LIKE THEM... as shown by the Occupy Movement!

Dang it! I can't send BMutiny another star for a while when she articulated far more concisely my exact sentiments of this election! We need to amend the Constitution to get rid of this foolish expense created by Citizens United! I do hope this means an end in sight to the overwhelming Plutocracy that has taken control of the country - I tend to doubt it while Mitchell, Ryan, Boehner and Cantor still sit in the House!!! There are a group of traitors that have held this country hostage for too long! Time to play dirty!!! Also time to get more legitimate Parties untainted by big oil!!

Thank you BMutiny - you said it all!!!! We need another Party untainted by big oil - and we've got to reverse Citizens United, and implement a REAL TAX on the wealthy (they paid 91% in the '50's to help recover the economy - and there wasn't such abnoxious griping about it) now the country is controlled by the "silver-spooners" a Plutocracy run amok!!

Congratulations to President Obama for this outstanding victory. He overcame a tremendous monetary advantage for the GOP to win this second term quite handily.

I am so thankful to the majority of American voters--who were able to look past race and the astounding abundance of false or misleading statements from the GOP and choose the most deserving candidate, Barack Obama, as our president for another four years. Despite what the haters may say, you sure got this one right, America.
