"Iran poses a very serious thread."

++++++++++++ No surprise there!

I ran vs Saudi Arabia. Pick your poison. Shiite vs Sunni. Same choice. They ALL pose a very serious threat and not just to themselves. They haven't the self restraint of a toddler yet we give them weapons. Who is more crazy? Us or them? We shouldn't be arming either side, force them to negotiate their own treaties by staying the bleep out of it. There is no "safe" side to pick here, nor a "good" one. Both versions intend to do us in in the long run once they finish with each other. I think our interests would be best served by letting them sort out, on their own, their issues. Our incessant need to have our fingers in every pie around the world is unseemly and dangerous, to us. Peaceful aid only, food and medical supplies, no sharp objects of any kind as they are not capable of handling them safely or being trusted not to try to use them against each other. Why can't our strategic interest be PEACE? And our foreign aid restricted to items that can only be used peacefully. Yes, I know that would upset that portion of our 1% which makes its billions from the manufacture and sale of deadly weapons. I don't care. Let them find a peaceful business too. War stops when we SAY so and act accordingly. We should start that now. In time for a decent New Year's resolution...

The whole point of the Arab Spring was to create a buffer zone around Iran of Sunni regimes. Of course Foggy Bottom as usual forgot to take off the rose colored glasses, which is why you now have the Muslim Brotherhood and its cohorts seeking to introduce Sharia law in all its atrocity.
Perhaps the long range plan is to build up these extreme regimes who will then be incited to invade Israel over some manufactured slight or human rights violation. The Israelis aren't guiltless or perfect but aren't all these useful idiots; well useful depending whether you're a Muslim or not? It's not the Israelis hiding behind the human shields of women and children to create a major media sound bite. It's not the Israelis who are firing artillery and rockets from atop hospitals and schools or setting up next to mosques. I seem to recall that the boy the Arabs claimed was shot by the Israelis during the second intifada; was finally proven to have been shot by one of his own "god's warriors" deliberately; or the manufactured Jenin massacre which was a media ploy by the Arabs. Right on CNN they showed the Arab falling off the litter three times, after which he got up and walked away - shown on CNN once and never again. I guess Christie Amanpour must have chewed someone's ass. Albert Pike back in the 19th century stated that there would be three manufactured global wars; the last of which was to be between an engineered conflict between Israel and its Arab neighbors. All nations were to be stressed by any means until the sued for peace and a one world government would be formed and regulate it. The world is to be divided into ten new economic sectors. Pretty accurate if you ask me.

Word to Israel: the next time Hamas fires a range of rockets into Israel; start walking your ordinance from the outskirts where all the rich "Palestinians" live. You know the ones with all the money; the Mercedes Benz's; the upscale condos with the Olympic size swimming pools and modern malls?
Once you have done that then start walking it inward to the center. I'm sure you'll see a white flag real quick. Hitting the little guy who's kept as an angry programmed rat to be used as collateral damage for a sound bite is counterproductive. Hitting the money men who control them is a real message sent.

The Arabs and the Iranians(Persians) have been in conflict for millenia. If Iran can foster internal discord, it is politically to their advantage.
