From full literacy declared in the seventies, Iraq is down to 40 percent literacy for women. From the first woman prime minister and the first woman judge in the Middle East in 1959, Iraq has slipped to a place where an abnormal number of widows struggle,

The TOTALLY UNJUSTIFIED War Against Iraq by the U.S., was SOLD to the well-meaning, "idealistic" American Public, as among other things, a Just War to "Liberate" Iraqi Women. Liberals and Feminists were supposed to BUY this line of Bull - and by and large, they DID.

Women and Children are NEVER benefited by Wars - they are the ones who suffer the MOST. The U.S. War took away the considerable rights the Iraqi women HAD - even tho the country WAS a dictatorship, it was, [like Nazi Germany], a MODERN country with an excellent healthcare system and high educational levels.
We, the U.S., in effect "bombed the country back to the Stone Age". We "helped" NOBODY. Now, thanks to the U.S., the Health Care and Education systems are shattered... doctors and teachers were killed or are refugees and homeless...
Don't forget that American soldiers ALSO RAPED AND MURDERED IRAQI WOMEN...
We weren't doing it "for the Women", we were invading Iraq FOR THE OLIGARCHS, FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR 1%.... they just LOVE War, it's "good for their business"...

THIS is why so many U.S. soldiers COMMIT SUICIDE.... this year, MORE SOLDIERS COMMITTED SUICIDE, THAN WERE KILLED IN COMBAT.
The U.S. soldiers HAVE GUILTY CONSCIENCES... when they SEE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.

When the soldiers finally REALIZE THEIR GREAT CRIMES, how they have been USED by the 1% to DESTROY, they CAN'T LIVE WITH THEMSELVES ANY LONGER...
This is what nobody is saying, but it's TRUE...

The Sectarian violence she mentions, which is a REASON that FUNDAMENTALISTS ARE MAKING A COMEBACK and that Women are newly oppressed, was DELIBERATELY CREATED BY THE AMERICAN CIA, to Divide and Rule the country.
Iraq, altho as stated, a dictatorship, was A COMPLETELY SECULAR SOCIETY. Saddam Hussein, altho a dictator, WOULD NOT ALLOW RELIGIOUS SECTS {Sunnis and Shiites} to have Power.
This allowed, also, relative freedom for Iraqi Christians and other religious minorities that lived there.
[Iraq, of course, was no paradise. Especially if you happened to be a Kurd. However, arguably, most people were BETTER OFF in many ways...]

However, this did not satisfy the views of the CIA PROPAGANDISTS. They STIRRED UP SECTARIAN VIOLENCE, for example by murdering or bombing one side, Sunnis or Shiites, and then BLAMING the other side... didn't take much to set them off. Sunnis and Shiites had been living in the same neighborhoods, being friends and even intermarrying, for GENERATIONS. However, the CIA Psy-Ops people are GOOD AT THEIR GAME... [British MI5 was involved, also, in such shenanigans.]
All this can be DOCUMENTED and VERIFIED, if you go to the SOURCES... {Of course, it didn't make the Nightly News, only what the CIA WANTED was shown, the WAY the CIA WANTED it interpreted...}

This was an interesting and sad but unsurprising read. These brave women have a long and very hard struggle ahead. We must support them whenever and however we can.

Iraq has been destroyed, in the name of democracy.
It's creative chaos.
Widows, orphans and the disabled.
The minorities have been displaced due to religious persecution.
It imported democracy.
Now there is no in Iraq except sectarianism.
There are only a corruption.
And looting and sharing influence.

Thank you, Samir Nassir.

And that is what they want to do to the rest of the world.

DESTROY

Women have the protective mothering instinct.

Men are instinctive fighters.

Both are needed for balance but with THE MAN supreme, there is no chance of
salvation through balance.

One commonality found in all dysfunctional countries and societies is the subjugation of women to a second or even third class status. Polygamy and denial of birth control go hand in hand with religious and cultural male hegemony leading to overpopulation and its attendant misery of poverty. It is way past the time for women in the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia to start fighting back and claiming their rightful equality with the males of their society.
