A group of activists including Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon and Susan Sarandon spent part of their day in Pennsylvania for an anti-fracking tour. The controversial natural gas extraction method has been a hot button issue in New York State. Zack Fink has more.

if Governor Cuomo is really going to base his decision on science then he has to say no to fracking. up till now the decisions on fracking have been based more on money.

Waste of time and star power. They need to camp out on Cuomo's lawn and convince him to ban fracking and save NYS.

Thanks Cal -- there is another "30 day drive" to use the "pen" as our weapon against a rush to frack in NYS -- we completed comments cricising the regulations that were proposed by the DEC here in NY -- led by Mss Steingraber - a fantastic "fractitioner" - she has a site: thenextthirtydays.org - this month she is suggesting daily letters to different sources (this AM I wrote a letter to the editor of the Daily News - it probably wont get printed, however let's swamp the people with insights about this risky business! The University of Colorado completed a 3 year study declaring that even on half mile away the air is polluted at 5 times the federal hazzard standards -- Please get involved for the sake of humanity, and for the sake of global warming - which this drilling produces by methane and benzene emissions!

Pardon my epileptic fingers - they seem to have a mind of their own and cause all sorts of misprints...

As a resident of PA, having followed fracking concerns from early on, I greatly appreciate this use of celebrity to bring attention to the dangers, ramifications and downright abuses of this corporate pollution of our land, air and water. Thank you to all involved!

So glad to see this protest and so many speaking out. I sign everything I can against fracking, although some are limited to specific states. Great comment, Lee! * I'm sorry I'm unable to send lee e. a star since I sent one in the past week.

Fracking really scares the hell out of me and I don't think we need to chance that many people's water is going to be poisoned. We need to stop any bit of it in U.S.

Wow, its amazing to see how many people have been convinced by the show - and show is a proper word for it called GasLand. Roughly 90% of the "facts" that are stated in Gasland are not facts at all. More specifically they are lies. I'll say it again, LIES. The show maker is laughing all the way to the bank after he signed a deal with HBO to do another show. Gets the facts people, do your own homework and make up your own mind. Don't be sheep.
