A Tennessee dog owner sent his pet to be euthanized because he suspected the dog was "gay." Fortunately, the pup was later adopted.

This guy is an idiot. He must be extremely insecure to worry about whether his dog is gay or not. Let's hope he is unable to get another dog, ever.
I love the happy ending. Elton was very fortunate.

I lived in Tennessee for a year and HATED it. That kind of backwards thinking is why! The dog is better off in the new loving home!

'A Jackson, Tenn., resident surrendered his "gay" dog for euthanization to the Jackson Rabies Control Animal Shelter on Jan. 29 because he saw his male pitbull/American bulldog mix "humping" another male dog, the Examiner reports.
The Huffington Post confirmed with Jackson Rabies Control, a high-kill shelter, that the dog had been surrendered because his owner believed he was "gay."

Although animals can be gay, dogs mount each other to express dominance, for play or because of nervousness/excitement, Psychology Today notes.'
1] Animals CAN be gay; such behavior has been observed in over 500 species. Not only Same-sex overt behavior; but Same-sex attachment, bonding, and even Same-sex families raising children. See the Care2 Causes article, with photographs. This Same-sex behavior has been known by scientists and biologists for CENTURIES - but they didn't DARE write or publish about it! Same-sex behavior was also known to farmers, shepherds and Traditional societies, who had words for it in their languages - words that weren't allowed to taint the ears of so-called "educated" people! {"Obscenity!" gasp!}

2] A dog, "gay" or "straight", "humping" another dog, is normal dog behavior. Simple as that.

This guy sure was amazed {if that's the word!} and "sensitive" about what he saw! HE MUST BE VERY, VERY UNSURE OF HIS OWN SEXUALITY - YOU CAN COUNT ON IT!

The owner should euthanized for being a complete imbecile and a moron! If only stupidity was punishable with death, well the world wouldn't be over populated for sure,
