When it comes to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, power plants are the 800-pound gorilla in the room. But a new report from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows that oil and natural gas are a pretty sizable monkey on our climate back as wel

Excellent, right to the point, article. It doesn't get any easier to understand than a map and some data. Right now, we are full steam ahead for a catastrophic "collision" with the worst impacts of climate change.

Meanwhile, inside the beltway, the administration has nominated a former employee of Mobil Oil Corporation for Secretary of the Interior. As if that wasn't bad enough, The CEO of TransCanada is having closed door meetings with the State Department to ensure that the Keystone XL pipeline construction stays on schedule. These are worrisome times.

Just say NO to all drilling and the resultant fracking - we can if we have the will to change use alternative sustainable fuel sources. We can turn our backs on these purveyors of death, or we can just keep going along till nothing is left. It's futile anyway - we have reached peak oil, what is the worst thing that could happen using clean sustainable fuel? We reduce the toxins in our air, water and soils, and still get energy.
I think t hat is called a win-win. Those who work for the Oil, GAS and Coals industry can be retrained for the new energy, and not be exposed to direct contact with the poison.
