New York State's decision to lift a four-year ban on natural gas drilling faced further delay on Tuesday after officials conducting a key health impact study asked for more time to form their conclusions on the divisive issue.

Thanks Cal - you've got to be a fractitioner like me! I was overjoyed by this news, but there are so many plans with fracked gas - attacking NYC from all sides - the Spectra pipeline, the Constitution pipeline - and now they're developing a pipeline through the city running up 10th Ave to bring frack gas to the port for overseas shipment -(I'm on 9th Ave -- what could possibly go wrong?!!! The fight is just beginning - Obama talked "pretty" last night, now he's got to ban fracking in this country altogether!

Noted and thanks Cal. California is now doing preliminary 'discussions' re: 'fracking'. Key stock holders (private landowners), environmental groups and individuals are invited to attend a session in Los Angles on Feb. 19th.

The findings of other states, New York as example, may have an impact on further 'fracking' actions. Can't help but hope that the health study in New York will find the obvious. If they don't find the extreme hazards for humans and the environment, if fracking is to be continued, there is something very wrong with the intelligence, the information given, or other persuasive factors to the decision makers for the Yea or Nay for fracking.

Noted. Thanks, Cal. I'm so glad there are many people protesting this on a daily basis, and they are gathering even more numbers. I hope the pressure's working.
