Bob Simon first met the Lost Boys in a Kenyan refugee camp in 2001 after they had fled civil war in the Sudan. Some of the young men were relocated to the U.S. -- how are they doing now?

This is the most moving story I have read in a long time. Good on those boys! To me, they are still boys.

This is a great story!!! Caught the tv version on 60 Minutes and was moved deeply by the kindness of those who helped, and the awe inspiring courage and strength of those 'boys' - now men - who have travelled so far in life. I wish they would all get together and have a talented writer compile a memoir that could inspire the whole world to use their own perseverance in a challenging life and our challenging time. [it's always been challenging, btw]
thanks so much, Cal !

It took me a few days to find time to watch this, but certainly glad I did. They reminded me of the American Indians who had walked the Trail of Tears and not many years later, after they had raised a good sum of money to send to the Irish to help them in the Famine or the Great Starvation. That these Lost Boys, with also practically nothing to give managed to raise $400 with little time in this Country to help those affected by 9-11.

Incredible story of young boys growing into men who beat incredible odds.
