"Shell, which says it puts safety first, said in February that it would not drill in Alaska's Arctic waters this year after a 2012 season that culminated in the grounding of its drillship in a storm."

Now that's a good one. . . rather like BP saying there was no spill in the Gulf of Mexico, or the Pope saying he isn't Roman Catholic!

Where was Shell in Nigeria, in the North Sea, in the North Pacific when the Kulluk tore loose of its towing cables and beached itself in Alaska. Some concern for safety!

"Earlier this month, in another setback for Arctic drilling, ConocoPhillips shelved plans to drill exploration wells in the Chukchi Sea off Alaska next year due to regulatory uncertainties in the United States."

Regulatory uncertainties? I thought that they were already cock sure that they had regulators and politicians in their pockets!

Good work Greenpeace!
