Is it really so hard to learn from history?
The Maya civilisation died out due to deforestation. Archaeologists have proved it years ago. Why wouldn't it happen to us now?
Stop deforestation in the Amazon and around the world NOW!
Thank You!

It's said "There's none blinder than those who won't see"..Both "Countries" & "People"..seem to be striving for domination of Land..Wealth & material goods!...seeing everyone & everything as an enemy & causing devastation & destruction in the process!...Blind to the fact that man is @ the mercy of the elements only...which are a challenge enough in themselves!...& because of this we should ALL be striving to support those in need of protection & help where natural disasters occur!...& using natural energy to it's best advantage where possible!

noted....and then what happens to those needing to be fed........how we treat the earth is so interacted with how the earth gives back to us.......................we need to get out of the ME NOW mindset and into the "How do our actions effect others and the future?" mind.......

for those who say we shouldn't worry about climate change, I say.....climate change (over population, deforestation, ocean pollution and overfishing, air pollution, resource depletion, etc) are so interconnected with natural disasters, famines, desertification, immigration, etc that I think we can't try to solve all these issues unless we solve climate.......

Noted. This situation has been going on for quite a while now and I hope it does not get to the point were it becomes tragically irreversible. Brazil owns most of the amazon ecosystem and they should show some respect and efforts to save what still remains.
