Thanks Cal for the link to the article by Brandi Morin. Kudos to the Court of Appeal of Alberta and to the Beaver Lake Cree Nation for their pursuing their lawsuit. Read and noted.

Good news so far!

"Mildon said Alberta and/or Canada will most likely apply to the Supreme Court of Canada for a leave to appeal and predicted that the government will attempt to “outspend a little First Nation like this as much as possible."

PM Harper and his harlots will definitely push this forward --- they are bullies in their search for oil riches. They cannot be allowed to succeed.” A friend of mine, Dorthea Calverly who was a retired teacher and long since deceased, was an honourary member of the Beaver Cree Nation. She used to tell me stories of the wonderful Cree people, rich in tradition and like so many First Nations, plagued by the residential school system.

May the Canadian and Alberta governments be thwarted in their quest for riches at the expense of the Beaver Cree Nation.

"Beaver Lake Cree Nation attorney Drew Mildon said that should this case be successful it could be precedent-setting when it comes to oil sands development, with repercussions throughout the country. “This is the thing that can keep tar sands development from moving forward,” he said." ----------- Yay!! There's over 5 thousand signatures on my petition to the Canadian Gov't (Alberta in particular)...there's a link to it on my page! Let's keep the pressure UP! Good news Cal, thnx! :-))
