At the present rate of deforestation, there won't be an Amazon Forest to survive global warming so it really doesn't matter whose research is correct or not.
Personally I would rather work on the assumption that the forests will survive and do my best to save them at least I know that will help our future generations survive.
Its past time to stop logging old forests.

Which rainforests? The ones still remaining DESPITE the best efforts of palm oil and coconut plantations?

EVERY SINGLE FACTOR...temperature, rain, animal life, plant life, insects, air quality.....every single factor is critical in the survival of the planet.

Rain forests are the lungs of the world....they don't ''belong'' to any nation. They're being destroyed for human greed and temporary ''profit.''

We're pissing in our own well....poisoning our mother. We'll pay for this--and it won't be pleasant.
