North Korea has offered to enter into talks with the United States - but insisted it would not give up its nuclear weapons.

"But it said there should be "no preconditions" for the talks, and "the legitimate status of [North Korea] as a nuclear weapons state will go on and on without vacillation whether others recognise it or not."

Oh, piffle. Don't even dignify that "offer" with any sort of official sign that we even saw it. Let them talk to themselves, they are best at that anyway.

Noted. Saw an interesting show on HBO called "Vice." Episode "The Hermit Kingdom" reports from the N. Korean trip with Dennis Rodman & 3 members of the Harlem Globetrotters team. It was much more interesting than I thought it would be.

I don't trust the N Koreans for a moment. They want to talk and not listen.

Plus why don't they start asking questions about the labor camps? I'd like to see change in that area more than I really care about their nuclear program.

Lets hope they accept the offer...

This leader at least has the balls to state his intentions ... and stick by them. Refreshing to say the least.
