Thanks for this Cal

The Aceh Province is a troubled place... deforestation in the pursuit of ever larger palm-oil plantations has displaced locals who look for alternate income sources. The elephants have no-where to go once their habitat is destroyed and man-human conflicts are on the increase. The Aceh province and specifically the Tripa Peat Forest is one of the most diverse, species concentrated places on earth and yet the Government allows big business to erode the landscape to produce cheap paper products and palm oil. It is wiping out Asian elephants, Sumatran Tigers and the Orangutan on a scale that is unbelievable to you and me.

Everyone who reads this can make an impact... sign every petition you can, stop buying paper products from the companies responsible and make sure palm oil ( a cheap alternative to butter in store bought baked goods, and many, many cosmetics) is on your list of banned products. Educate yourself on the causes for this travesty!

Sickening and heartbreaking - I could never ever forgive humans for inflicting these brutal and sadistic atrocities on animals that cannot defend themselves.
