This is not a nice man. He is constantly calling for the death of others and has had his group attack police stations. The MB has been burning down Churches and Coptic centres. They have killed 11 police and hung and mutilated their bodies. So he got arrested gee how sad is that.

During his weekly sermon, Mohammed Badie stated that Israelis are "rapists" of Jerusalem, and called on all Muslims to "wage jihad with their money and their selves to free al-Quds." He described the creation of Israel in international law as an "alleged, illusory right.

"The Jews have dominated the land, spread corruption on earth, spilled the blood of believers and in their actions profaned holy places, including their own." As such, he demanded that the Arab world reject negotiations with Israel in favour of "holy Jihad," saying that "the Zionists only understand force" and while alleging that allowing Jews to pray on the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site, would result in the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

What a fun guy. If he is the target for the Egyptian army and police then good luck to them. His arrest is not motivated by politics or religion just law.

I haven't seen the news today, but, with Mubarak's release, and this man's impriosnment, hostilities are sure to esculate.

Well, if that's true what he said Ira, especially such an atrocious generality of 'The Jews have,,,,spread corruption on earth..." he is an idiot in extremis. Same crapola Hitler used to blame Jews for everything, and to justify mass eradication of them everywhere he could find them.
I'm beginning to think some people use the term 'zionist' as an excuse to target Jews period. At least this hot dog is, interchanging 'Jew' with 'Zionist' in his speech...

I'm delighted to see the Egyptians crushing the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt has done this several times before, but they really need to deal the MB an unequivocal death blow for Egypt's sake and the entire world's sake as well. Arresting this flaming fascist is great. Hopefully they can try and find him guilty on any number of charges and send him off to Paradise.

Make no mistake, the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization. In any country it detects it can use and get away with violence, it does. Almost every leader of Al Qaeda is a Muslim Brotherhood graduate.

In countries where the Brotherhood knows it is too weak militarily, it operates by Stealth Jihad -- Jihad being the highest calling for Islam's followers. In this country (the U.S.) there are something like 50 groups under the Muslim Brotherhood umbrella, each with a stealth mission, and each posing as "moderates", when they are far from it.

The Muslim Brotherhood's own records which were confiscated detail their plans to undermine the U.S. government and constitution and replace it with Sharia, and so far, they've been moving right along, gaining access to top security positions, whitewashing anything connecting Islam and the Brotherhood from terrorism in FBI and U.S. military training manuals.

They're bad news all around, and people think that because they wear suits, shave their beards and look like "us" that they're okay. They are very much NOT.

I believe that the Egyptian military is moving waaaay too fast in releasing Mubarak. Egyptians are still ticked at him, and the military stands to undermine popular support for ousting the Morsi government, (which is something it did very right).

The Egyptian military needs to slow down a little and not carried away. Arrest the Muslim Brotherhood figures, try them, and if it is proven that they are guilty of capital punishment, by all means carry out the executions. But Mubarak should stay put for a while, otherwise all hell will break loose, and we may very well see full-scale civil war break out.

Right now, the military has a chance to make real, lasting democratic changes in Egypt. I hope they don't blow it.

Stop killing unarmed civilians. If we learn some things from 9/11, one thing is that when you forced people you called terrorists underground, it turn out to be a big disaster. That was last time the US 'crushed' Muslim Brotherhood, right? Do not repeat that again. Who died from weapon the US sent to Egyptian army, people--unarmed civilians. If one creates a state that live or die is not different, a decent human can turn to evil. If one pushes a decent human to a level of anger or fear, it s where evil exit. Please consider. I don't think unarmed civilians are terrorists.

Thanks Cal.

Noted. It's very difficult to predict in all this turmoil if this arrest will lead to a solution or will just escalate violence even further.

If the Jihadists were judged by Sharia law they promote - there will be no Jihadists left.

It seems that, just possibly, Creator may be taking note of all the petitions sent to him.

Please to remember, it may not be good to itemize just what we want the boss to do but, as He told me in a mystical experience (Popes aren't the only ones to get them), I should pray for HIS WILL to be done. So that's what I've begun doing. Thy will be done.

Creator knows a lot more about what needs to be done than I do.

For any of you, especially in America, who would like to check out a group that sends "TOO MUCH" information LOL on what's going on in America and Israel, you might or might not choose to go on line and check out Capitol Hill Prayer Partners.

The Muslim Brotherhood, as well as the Arab Spring, sound like such nice terms. The names hide the reality that these are extreme fanatics who will never stop until the whole world believes as they do. Shooting little girls for going to a Bible study class. Beheading priests. Marking shops and homes for future destruction, whether or not they are occupied, just because the people at those locations believe a bit differently. To call them animals would be an insult to animals.
