Natural resources staff on Kangaroo Island believe South Australia's white-bellied sea eagle population is at high risk of extinction if nests continue to be disturbed by human activities.

I hate to hear extinction fears. But we do need these reminders to teach us.

Thanks Cal I am always amazed with your news. I am very lucky I live in a remote coastal area in The Southwest of Western Australia and we have our sea eagles relative safe. Kangaroo Island Ospey Eagles are not so lucky. Surely the Eagles nesting areas could and should be protected. What is wrong with the wildlife Officers and their Dept that this has not already happening.

What does this say about mankind - that we are an absolute disgrace, we are a scourge upon this earth and its creatures.

Too many people allowed on Kangaroo Island, it they stopped this, it would be better for all the creatures. Problem is, the island relies on tourism. Some serious thought needs to go into how to fix this.
