Children will bear the brunt of the impact of climate change because of their increased risk of health problems, malnutrition and migration, according to a new study published on Monday.

I think the question is not will it hurt children but how much more will we allow it to continue to hurt children. Isn't it time we pay attention to these studies and stop listening to those who hesitate to act?

Unless there is a major, massive, ovehaul to the abuses to this planet. I would consider not having children.

This is too sad. We do need to act to save the children.

Noted. While we have governments that will not act on climate change and choose to go the other way. Our children and their children will always suffer. Our new Prime Minister five minutes after he was sworn in sacked our climate change scientist and closed the commission on climate change. We have to fight this with people power and we are trying. We are now running mirco donations from Australians and hopefully we will win to setup our own Climate change Council. We cannot be part of the destruction of climate change for our planet, for our children and for our children's children.

Conservatives care only about making money. They care only about today and care nothing about tomorow. That is very sad for us and the planet.

Of course it will. Children have been harmed the most by the ecological nightmare of the last 60 years as we've poisoned the soil, water and air of this country. We have diseases now that were unheard of when I was a child and so many sick children they are hardly countable. Climate change is not only going to affect them because of illness but because they are so young and the effects of it will be so long lasting, we are only seeing the beginning of what is coming and our children and grandchildren are the ones who will bear the brunt of nature's recoil against what we have done to the environment. Those guilty of bringing this about will be long dead before the true and sustained reaction of the planet is felt. That I am saddest about, that those who had no part in the cause will be the ones who will take the full weight of the effects.
