As the Arctic 30 face their 30th day of imprisonment by Russian authorities, nearly 10,000 people are taking to the streets at more than 100 events in 36 countries to call for their immediate release.

Noted. The protests are good, though I think they need to be more direct...such as blockading Russian embassies around the world.

Thanks Cal for the link. I do hope the Russian Government is feeling the pressure. I have so far sent 8 emails and letters to the Russian embassy. Read and noted.

Glad to see that this mockery of justice is getting international attention but sad to see that Russia is regressing under its current leadership.

10,000 people sounds like a lot, but "nearly 10,000 people are taking to the streets at more than 100 events in 36 countries" doesn't (how many people did not show up to those 100 events). Unfortunately, extreme behavior of Greenpeace does not seem to be an isolated event, and not something I would recommend against a, lets say, non democratic, government. It will be interesting to sea that the real politics are here (negotiations with the Dutch).
