TAKE ACTION NOW! Artesa Vineyards & Winery: Don't Destroy Redwood Forest for Vineyards

Artesa Winery's planned vineyard development is the only project in California proposing deforestation of coastal redwoods. Allowing this would set a precedent for other vineyard developers to destroy redwood forests in California.

I like wine, but not enough to destroy any redwood tree, much less a forest. We have already seen most of the redwoods taken down; they used to go all the way to Santa Barbara. No, no more destruction.
Definitely signed. Thanks, Cal.

If you drive anywhere in Sonoma county you will find hills covered with vineyards. Go to the local grocery store, and see all the varieties of Sonomay, Napa county wines. It is mind boggleing. All competeing with each other. Now some Spanish company wants to elbow in, mow down the trees, getting in on the action.
Go back to Spain, plant grapes there and THEN sell them as exotic wine.
Maybe that way the damned wine will be unique.

Here is what I wrote in the Comments section:

Now that American Investors have LOOTED AND THEN ABANDONED the U.S., we are becoming like a THIRD-WORLD SOURCE OF RESOURCES for Foreign Investors.
What goes around, comes around. Now we know what it's like to be a Third-world country EXPLOITED mercilessly for our resources to make a Wealthy Elite, even Wealthier.
NOBODY should be subjected to this Exploitation! NOBODY.

The opportunity cost between Redwood forest and winery is pretty clear. Redwoods only grow in Nth California and Sth Oregon, wineries can be built anywhere.... need I write more...

I think if the Spaniards don't desist and actually do come with Chainsaws and Bulldozers for the Redwoods -

I think that will be when THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE FINALLY HAD ENOUGH - and I think, this is just my opinion, but I think that
AT THAT POINT SOME WILL TAKE UP ARMED RESISTANCE TO DEFEND THE TREES - and our Heritage.

Not that I am necessarily in favor of this happening - but I think it is possible, even LIKELY.
It has happened that way in other countries, with other Indigenous Peoples.
[Will then the U.S. Army then be called out, to DEFEND "RIGHTS" OF THE SPANISH CORPORATION AGAINST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND THEIR TREES?????
You know, Corporations have MORE RIGHTS THAN PEOPLE DO... or Trees... or the Earth...
Will American Soldiers obey orders and shoot their own folks???]

There are Right Wingers as well as Left Wingers, "Progressives", "Liberals", "Greens" and "Independents" who feel strongly about this - this cuts across the ENTIRE Political Spectrum.
And there are Right Wingers who are heavily ARMED.....
Will this be a SPARK THAT SETS OFF ACTUAL ARMED RESISTANCE? and FORCEFUL Change???
We live in interesting times.....
