Deep cuts in food aid for poor people in the United States are poised to bring higher demands on charities and food pantries across the country that provide food to families in need - and which are already overstretched.

It's time to step up your donations to your local food bank! They need our support year round, not just during the holidays.

Thank you! We can not let the Congress get away with the cuts! We have to demand for them to restore SNAP!

Please help in any way you can, donations, volunteering, hassling congress, etc. Thank you, Cal.

And at the same time, we are sending billions of dollars worth of aid to foreign countries that don't like us just so they'll take a break from throwing rocks at our embassy long enough to cash our check. A little extra charity at home might not be such a bad idea.

So we are heading to a war between the poor and the rich, right? You think who wins?

Thanks Cal

Noted. Thanks, Cal. This is absolutely cruel & mean. Yes, help any way you can. Keep pestering your members of Congress, too.....especially every time they vote to continue subsidizing dirty energy, wealthy people & corporations, when they water down regulations for the banksters.....And, Henry (above) is 100% correct about those foreign "subsidies." We gave Israel $4 billion, and now they're partnering with Saudi Arabia against Syria. Why are we funding the entire planet?!
