Every other day oil spills into the water somewhere in the US. No steps seem to be taken to make sure this doesn't happen. Surprise on that one.

When are we going to end our dependence on mineral sludge? It's long past time we moved to renewable resources!

No, this is why we need solar and wind, and possibly humidity.

Too many oil spills on land and in the water. Our government will probably approve the Canadian tar sands pipeline through the middle of our country. I believe it would be a great disaster waiting to happen.

Stop all drillings in our waters. Put support into alternative energy. Make the oil companies pay to clean up this mess and for all the lives lost do to their carelessness.

Thanks for sharing Cal. When will this end?! Sadly, it's probably going to get worse before it gets better. Seems like nothing ever changes w/big oil issues until somebody dies..even then, usually a slap on the wrist/pay a big fine, nothing really changes. This is just another example of how much we need to end our dependence on oil...but sadly, humans are slow to learn & change their behavior.

No smoking signs to a smoker. Peak oil to a driver. Same thing to an off grid, permaculture food forest designer..opportunity. Methane gas produced on site. Hydro drop flume generator. Solar pwered, wind powered, potential for earth power. Garden, green house, own eggs..chickens..beef and milk. Spring fed ponds. Aquaculture. Grey water and composting toilets. Raised beds. All the tools for survival in any conditions. Whole different view of life., the future, productive self sufficient..armed to the teeth and dangerous :) Skills. Experience. Knowledge. Supplies. Urban prepping. Community.
Just thinkin out loud textually.

Noted and shared. America is simply turning into one big oil slick on it's rivers, byways and oceans, while the country, itself, is becoming one big toxic oil sludge, infecting it's people, groundwater and lands. It's just disgusting that Americans don't wake the hell up and demand an end to the dirty fossil fuel industry altogether and demand investment into clean, renewable forms of energy.

I agree with Dianne D completely: "Stop all drillings in our waters. Put support into alternative energy. Make the oil companies pay to clean up this mess and for all the lives lost do to their carelessness. "
