Not all our casualties of war served overseas in combat. Some are children who never left our shores. Collateral damage, some might call it.

This is so true! I know you can't shield your kids from the truth, and it still feels like war.
I know of many children of holocaust survivors that feelllike they too went through it.
Thanks Cal, this is a terrible by product of"patriotism", or war atrocities in general.

Saw this on TV this morning. Very sad to think of the kids who are suffering along with their parents. They never signed up for this but this is what's happening and they need as much help as their parents and I hope they get it.

Only a life time struggle to heal from ptsd. Heal.? Manage. Meditation is great tool. Can run through successive generations too.

When a person becomes mentally ill no matter the cause it effects all members of the family.

Very sad. Mental health awareness is on my causes list, so thanks for sharing this Cal. Mental illness really needs to be talked about a lot more. If we don't talk about it the 'stigma' will remain.
