Bees are dying off around the world in record numbers -- but big retailers are still selling the poison that is killing them.

I think that many people are hearing this....but they do not know what to do because the mega corporations like Bayer and Monsanto have a crushing hand down on them (us) oppressing our voices and killing life along the way. We sign and circulate petitions, we plant gardens and we support our local farmer's markets, but not enough when the huge practices that are in full force are in motion. On sites like this, we are usually in agreement about the atrocities that are carried out and the fact that we are in the midst of a mass extinction...what we must do is educate those who do not have access to the internet or who are not being told what is happening or are simply ignorant or afraid. We must now come up with a way to form groups within our local communities to educate and assist people of all economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We need to do this with compassion, patience and consistently. There are many people who really don't get it because they have never been spoken to kindly with good intentions or had someone explained the dire circumstances and consequences from our actions so that they really comprehend. We have to extend our hand and heart to the community and be willing to wade through the density of it all with them and each other. We must stop being divided and think as being one with the human race, not of a certain political party or race or religion. We have to think in terms of being inhabitants of one planet. We need each other and we need to help others understand....really understand without blame or judgment. It is apparent that those in power are not going to listen, cease their agendas or make the changes in our best interest. So we must do so with integrity. :-)

Petition signed. I sure miss the large amount of bees I used to have around all of my fruits, vegetables and other plants. I wish they would come back. All I can do is to keep trying. Thanks Cal

This shows what your grocery store will look like if all the bees die. Very scary and a real eye opener!

Action completed. When I walk into Lowes and Home Depot Garden Center (which I will never enter again or the store for that matter) the smell of pesticides literally makes me sick......bees and other species have absolutely no chance against these ignorant, self-serving, and incompentent "big guys" who make part of their profits poisoning this planet. Keep your poison in you pants! Bottom line.....Bees are our best friends....we cannot live without them. Thanks Cal for sharing.

Bees keep the plant kingdom alive through its generations, which in turn enables the animal kingdom to exist--it's all a vital part of the cycle of life!

Noted and signed. Thanks, Cal. Honey is a staple for me; I only buy local from people who never use poisons around their bees. Unfortunately, we can't control everyone around THEM.
