Vultures are being killed on an unprecedented scale across Africa, with the latest slaughter perpetrated by elephant poachers who poison the scavenging birds so they won't give away the location of their activities

Even the local Masai had been putting out poisoned bait to kill lions....which, of course, kills hyenas AND vultures.

Noted. I like to see them when I was on safari, but they are big, strong, an ugly animals that live on death, it's easy to see how they don't generate much love or respect.

How sad. We need vultures, they clean up our environment, and they never kill.

All animals have a role to play in the eco-system. You can't mess with mother nature and not hurt the balance of things. There are way too many humans on this earth. Let's demand those that harm humans, animals and the earth be eliminated. They contribute nothing good.

Vultures are the cleaners-up in nature and have a very important role to play in an eco-system. If you take them out of the equation then the whole system becomes unbalanced.

Sadly noted! Hunters and poachers should be hunted,.. Let them know what their victims feel...fear and terror!!! Cowards all of them!!!

Horrendous. This is one more reason to catch poachers.

Grazie per la condivisione. Riescono ad eliminare due specie insieme! E' terribile.

As populations continue to explode across Africa all species and their habitats are threatened including man as their resources shrink. Unfortunately most AID agencies have chosen to be part of the problem rather part of the solution.

All animals are beautiful and there is a reason they exist, the all have a niche in the ecosystems... Humans don't.
