This is fine as long as it is used to HELP immigrants access the system for becoming citizens-many do not know how. Would you? And it should not be a tool to separate families-sending mothers back to Mexico and leaving the children here without anyone to care for them. This is judgmental and cruel, making foster children of the immigrant children who lose their family for no good reason. What is wrong with takinga HELPFUL instead of PUNITIVE attitutde toward immigrants with assuming they WANT to be citizens, just do not know how, instead of assuming they are TERRORISTS (not unless the are middle eastern!). The poor immigrant from Mexico is as UNLIKELY A TERRORIST as you could find-only the middle Eastern counterpart playing the part of a downtrodden Mexican is a real threat and we could take the time to distinguish between the two! The problem is many of the illegal invaders are not interested in becoming citizens of the U.S. They are here for the money and any government handouts they can get. A very large percentage of them use the money they earn in the U.S. to build homes in their native country which they have every intention of returning to with their U.S. born children once they have earned enough to also start a business in their native country. Laws like the one in Oklahoma are exactly what is needed to not only end the invasion but to also get rid of the illegal aliens that are already here.

I am all for getting rid of the BAD guys. BUT having lived in California and going to school AND working in the fields WITH the migrant farm workers AND watching their kids while they worked, I don't want them to go away. If we kick them out, are YOU willing to do the job? It's hard back breaking work. Put you voodoo on me, but I really hate that they are doing this. We're all going to die soon anyway, whether or not you care to believe it. It is not FAIR that they were actually here first. Many Indian/Mexican/indian ancestors lived here first. who the hell are we to keep them out?

THIS IS A COMPLICATED PROBLEM BUT NOW IT IS NOT JUST THE MEXICANS WE ARE LETTING IN THERE ARE IN TRUTH MORE AFRICANS CHINEESE THIAS,SOUTH AMERICANS AND CENTRAL AMERICANS. I WONT DENY FOOD TO A PERSON BUT I DO KNOW THE MATH AND WE CANNOT KEEP TAKING IN THE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE WHO COME EACH YEAR ALSO NO ONE KNOWS THE REAL TRUTH ON HOW MANY ARE HERE.i LIVED IN MEXICO AND CENTRAL AMERICA THEIR LAWS AGAINST IMMIGRANTS ESP ILLEGALS ARE WAYYYY TOUGHER THAN OUR .YOU CNA'T EVEN OWN A HOUSR E THERE WITH BEACHFRONT . BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND IF US THATARE HERE ARE TO SURVIVE WE WILL HAVE TO LIMIT IMMIGRATION SOMEHOW THIS COUNTRY DOESNT HELP ITS OWN. immigration is also an increasing problem in the UK......A small Island......where Assylum seekers.....fleeing from persecution....are given a hard time....or refused entry .....whereas Economic migrants of Europe are welcomed with open arms.....it's a crazy world we live in!

Actions speak so loudly! If you are here legally, you have no reason to stay home. I am an Oklahoman, my front license plate is the Mexican Flag, my rear license plate is Comanche, my son is 1/4 Mexican, 1/4 Cherokee, and 1/2 Comanche. This new law is not about ethnic cleansing, but about ILLEGAL immigrant status. If so many are staying home, then they must not have the proper identification. Nobody who resides here legally has to be afraid to be deported.

My bestfriend of mexican,and her kids r half,but she is legal. And a hard working singel mother of 4 kids.
Im fighting for disabilty now,and have been denied once. I read somewhere that 25% of the ss clams r illegel immigrants. Why is this happening?
I also have a friend from Inia,who is having a hard time getting a work visa (she was hirred on at a art studio in florida already. I also live in oklahoma,and its hard to find a good job here cause of the mexican population,and most of them are illigal!
no I dont think its right for them to be deproted,but we have to put a stop to all the money being giving away to illegal immigrants. Not just mexians! where I live at half the population in a small town r mexiacns, they have to hire a spanish teacher for the elementery for the schools. I do belive they must speak english in public. It isnt far to the our kids to have to learn to speak other than their reaglur language.

alyson t........social security can only be given with a legal ss number and illegals dont have them .......this is a myth ........you may not be getting ssi due to the fact that the state doesnt think you are ill enough yet .....i kinda think you may have issues related to ms {read your profile}you have to be really sick to get ssi ..i worked in health care ........as for your friend she can only work in the united states if the job she is being ask to do can not be filled by a u.s cit with the same qualifications ...........and the company has to also pay for your friend to be here .........as well as a few thousand dollars for the visa { my husband is german }i know immigration ....
