Soaring commodity and fuel prices are driving up costs for manufacturers; faced with a choice between raising prices (which consumers would surely notice) or quietly putting fewer ounces in the bag, carton or cup (which they generally don't)

I have no idea why but I always look at the amount of contents in a box, jar, anything we buy. Not all the time but I can tell if something isn't right. My husband does most of the shopping since I am a compulsive label reader and it takes quite awhile to get through the store when I am along. Putting this way, he knows what not to buy. LOL

Everyone is finding ways to make more more money and cheating and stealing comes to mind in desperation. I ordered a pizza and there was no sauce, just some cheese and a few pepperonies. It didn't save them money. They had to bring another pizza. We all have to put on our thinking caps. We need our regular products for those still with money and offer products or service people absolutely need - Diversify.
