The Japanese don't care about the sacrificing of life be it Dolphins or Whales. Watch the show on TV called Whale Wars and you will see Japanese whalers killing Whales - they don't even get a slap on the wrist for the horrible things they do.

I'm so please someone posted this article. Was in our paper today written by reporter that knows Ric. I was in tears imaging holding a dying dolphin. So sad what man inflicts on the creatures of this planet.

About a week ago I got an E Mail from The Cove site, and checked it out, only to find it's not coming to my area as of this weekend. They do have plans to show th film to a number of countries outside the US. I'll go back and check re the UK, if it's got a city and date I'll post it for you Nina.

Just watching the small trailer of the movies made me feel so many emotions beside sadness and anger! I wanted to know how "human" beings could do this to these beautiful, intelligent mammals. When so much research and data has been done on Dolphins, I want to know why would these people so callously just slaughter them with no compunction!?

Just checked the site and the film is in Canada, and a huge number of theaters in Autralia, and New Zealand, plus many here in the state. They have venues planned for the month of October, with dates coming shortly.

This movie is so sad - take tissues, it's very very very heartbreaking. Part of the problem is the demand for dolphins for sea parks and aquaria -- people come from around the world to Taiji to pick dolphins for the shows -- then the rest are herded up and slaughtered -- so to me, it seems important to ban the captivity of dolphins. Dolphin shows makes millions of dollars for the parks; it's really sickening.

Each nation and culture choose not to see / hear / "feel" those situations which contradict their self-created images. As with "American Democracy" (1.5 Corporate-controlled parties), Britain's era of "civilizing" the "lesser races" (Colonialism, slavery, etc.), the Japanese "love of nature" is another phrase that leaves me scratching my head. Living here for a quarter century, time and time again I have seen its complete contradiction. And yet, that "love-of-nature" image continues to thrive.

So, we need to write a lettet to the Gov of Japan saying we will not purchase anything made in Japan until they take the issue seriously.

I could not watch this movie. It would haunt me forever. I have touched a wild dolphin ( on his terms ) & it was the most joyous encounter in my life ( after giving birth !)
