For no crime, and without any reason, Israel waged a contentious air-strikes over the besieged Gaza, bombed the Palestinians in Gaza with heavy weapons for the fourth day. killing dozens and injuring hundreds most of them children. Friend Henriette suggested to make a praying session to pray for peace and to light a candle in the darkness of the war.

For the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza, for every one who lost a dear one Let's light a candle, for every child who lost her/his father or mother Let's light a candle. for every one who lost part of her/his body, or lost her/his home Let's light a candle.

Your sincere prayer will reach them and your candle will mean a lot for them.
Let's pay for the Justice and peace in Palestine and the entire world. Let's light a candle for Gaza.

God bless you dear Toni.
I also admire the movement of the Gazans to help their wounded brothers.

"Citizens are quick to give blood in anticipation of continued aggression on the Gaza Strip

Gaza - Ma'an - The fast-moving events in the Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours, which left 15 martyrs and more than 44 injured, prompted the citizens in the Gaza Strip to speed up the blood donation for the benefit of the Palestinian hospitals, fearing that worse if the high number of wounded."

Let there be peace in Gaza. Izrael's brutal killings of the Palestinians in Gaza will never be accepted. Izrael once nad for all must recognize the Palestinian State with Jerusalem as it's Capital.

Candles lit and sharing. There's such a dichotomy between this post of vicious abuse of power, the murdering of children, and the other post I just left where Israeli doctors recently saved a Palestinian baby. The empire building power brokers, Netanyahu, will never serve peace..

Thank you Elias and Henriette for this wonderful initiative, I'll forward the message. The news just spoke of another attempt to reach a truce tonight; so let's hope and pray it will come and last at least the next 24 hours, the time my candle will stay lit.

Elias, Henriette and my friend Abdessalam, everyday for a long time i've been lighting a candle in my home for Gaza and her people especially for my dear friend Abo , i remember seeing a video of how the people in Gaza are forced to live and my heart was broken for these people and the innocent children,. My candle will continue to burn bright each night until Gaza has her freedom and peace. Thank you Elias.

Why not light a candle for the 5 Israelis killed and the 50 that were injured? Or does your compassion only allow for those that started this most recent fracas???? Hamas has ended the so called '2 year truce' - by it's own admission. So we hope Israel puts paid to this monstrous apology for a Government once and for all.

While one may favor one peoples over the other, instead of debating or airing it on this comment thread, why not pray for peace between the two, the region, the world? It's needed everywhere!
Praying for the defeat of one over the other does nothing but negate the positive karma you originally intended! ONE LOVE Thank you Elias

Thank you very much dear friends, for your pure emotions, thank you for your sincere prayers and for lighting a candle for peace, lighting a candle for Gaza. our prayers absolutely will reach the Palestinians in Gaza.
I also pray for our five Egyptian solders who died by the Israeli fire on the Egyptian boarders, And also pray for the Israelis who died for the attack on Eilat, by the same persons who targeted our solders and wage this war on Gaza, The only beneficiary of the instability who do not differentiate between any human, in their way of achieving their own evil aims.

I'm sure that the Palestinians in Gaza do not feel alone in their ordeal, That there are many people, pure people in this world pray for them, and do anything they can to support them and bring the peace to them.

I also highly appreciate the links attached with some comments here. And recommend to watch the video in friend Monka's comment. It's great video, describing the situation in Gaza and the consequences of the Israeli war on the besieged civilian people. I'm fully agree with you Monka, they went far beyond them.

The Green Star is the simple way to say "thank you" and I can tell the the Gazans and the children in Gaza also say "Thank you".

Peace, justice and freedom for Palestine. Peace, justice and freedom for the entire world. Amen!

I do wish to stress that the candle I lit is shining FOR ALL VICTIMS on ALL SIDES of this horrible long Middle East war! It is absolutely fair to state- as Cal and Pat & Ed did- that innocent Israeli lives were lost as well and should be honored and memorized, naturally those Egyptian police and other victims as well!
I am sure you will all agree that the candles won't mind burning for ALL ! And we all do know that the terror came not only from the Israeli side -as much as I would like to actually see Netanjahu in The Hague- but also from Hamas, PRC and perhaps even more groups. PEACE to the region and the world.

Gilad Shalit could have been released a long time ago should Netanyahu release ALL Palestinian freedom fighters held in Israel's prisons, But Netanyahu's arrogance, stubborn and stupidity endangers poor Shalit's life.

I too pray that those in Gaza can empty their hearts of the hate that fills them and that love of peace will settle on them and that they may find work and not be such a burden on the civilised countries because when one spends ones life in hate one becomes hateful.
I pray that those misguided in Gaza and elsewhere will let the light of love for their fellow man envelope them and let them be a beacon to others. I pray that those who are ill and penniless in Gaza that have to go to Israel for free or specialised treatment will return with their hearts gladdened and softened by true compassion

Thank you dear friends, Great idea from you dear Bee, all our support for the Palestinian Statehood.
I believe that one day the light of peace will spread the world, the peoples will live together in love and harmony, then the history will mention the few people who worked for that, who used every mean to achieve the people on earth. I believe that together we will make it.

Peace and Justice for Palestine Peace and Justice for the entire world. God bless you my friends you are real stars in a dark sky.

Candles lit for peace for ALL, no matter which 'side' they are on, and also for those who have lost loved ones - every person on this planet deserves the right to a life without the hatred and negative emotions that surround us!! It is so very, very sad that so-called human beings cannot agree to disagree, respect each other and allow everyone some space.
