Police have opened an investigation into online threats against Israel's president following his condemnation of "Jewish terrorism" after a firebombing killed a Palestinian child, a presidential spokesman said.

It’s a culture that doesn’t accept others! When the president summons enough courage to express the pain he felt for the murdered Palestinian child, his life is threatened.

Nobody - not even the President of Israel - is allowed to criticise Zionism ... even when it is extremist & violent .... without being target of insults and attacks!

That puts some of us in good company!!

Rivlin had a reputation for being rightist, pro-Zionist, but he has shown a more balanced & critical perspective quite a few times since he became President.

Which could place him at risk .... but certainly places him among Jews of integrity, because he knows the risks of speaking critically & expressing sorrow at what destructive violence is being bred by modern extremist Zionism.

A number of years ago, Uri Avnery predicted that Zionist extremism would prove to be the destruction of Israel ...

So here we have the sad and most deplorable truth in full display ! Where some had hoped to hear some more jewish voices, other than the official ones with their fake compassion, expressing honest sorrow and shock over the murder and extremist's terrorism, what we have instead is unlimited hatred unleashed. Very much designed to crush those Jews of integrity that are left.
I agree, president Rivlin is at risk and I also agree with Avneri's prediction, it is very obvious.
Thanks Sam.

Reports today say security forces arrested suspected head of jewish extremist group, 23 yrs old Meir Ettinger. It is unclear, though, if he was involved in the arsen attack.

Israel 'Ignored Warnings' on Jewish Terror Cells Before Attack that Killed 18-Month-Old
Seems to give Sam's headline choice some justification...

Fully agree with Evelyn and Angelika - and naturally Uri Avnery! While Bibi Netanyahu tries his very best to make the gullible believe that Jewish terrorism is a new shocking development ... those with some knowledge of history know that this dates back to the 1920's and all the way since. The list is quite impressive of which the King David Hotel and the killing of Count Bernadotte are just the most prominent ones. Add to this list the killing of Rabin.

The "juicy" detail is that Meir Ettlinger is the grandson of Rabbi Meir Kahane ... as we say in German: "Der Apfel faellt nicht weit vom Stamm" ... literally translated: "the apple doesn't fall far away from the tree". He seems to have a track record of attacking Christian holy sites. One can only wonder why this guy was still enjoying his freedom ... on the hill tops of the Occupied Territories ... knowing that Palestinians are rotting in jail on the mere suspicion of being "terrorists" ... guess it has to do with the right background ...

"The Shin Bet singled out Ettinger two days before the attack on the West Bank home when it announced it had uncovered a Jewish extremist movement of young settler activists responsible for a June arson attack of the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish, a prominent Catholic church near the Sea of Galilee, and a number of other hate crimes.

Authorities indicted two other young extremists and arrested three others in connection with the church arson attack. The Shin Bet said Ettinger's group vandalized a number of Christian religious sites in the past two years, tried to disrupt Pope Francis' 2014 visit to the Holy Land, and committed "more significant terrorist attacks of arson" against Palestinian homes in the West Bank in the past year."

Comments the Israeli President received:

"Dirty traitor. Your end will be worse than (Ariel) Sharon's," said one comment quoted by the Maariv newspaper, referring to the late Israeli former premier who spent eight years in a coma.

Another said: "In Russia you would have been found by this point cut up inside a shoe box."

Hate seems to be pushing the fantasies of the haters ...

Is There Anything Those Uncivilized, Barbaric Israeli Settlers Wouldn't Do?

Thanks for the link to this article, Sam.

This just goes to show that the State of Israel does NOT have a grip on its over half a Million extremists who reside in the Occupied Territories. Does not WANT I can safely guess as they would have the means to reign them in. Which goes to show how serious the many statements by Bibi and other officials about taking harsh measures against these terrorists are ... ZERO!

And naturally not a single word that the Palestinian "terrorists" protected the Israeli (woman) police officer ... instead some unfounded Hasbara - LOL! Never a disappointment there ...

Bob - you're a funny guy, you know? While I do understand that you have to put in some Hasbara ... can't you get yourself to express at least ... bare minimum ... a word of concern that this old man (Pres Rivlin is 76!!) gets death threats for showing some compassion and humanity??

That tells us what about you?? I mean ... you're always one of the first ones to accuse others ...

Terrorism perpetrated by any state or organization against any other state or organization is always horrific and wrong! There is no "better" terrorism!
