Last fall I graduated from Marine Naturalist Training Certification through the Whale Museum, now I have also completed a course training as a Steward/educator here in the San Juan islands of Western Washington. My goal is to teach and share, volunteer and steward for this sacred place. I wanted to share this with all my like minded friends and more.

Do any of you live in areas where Beaches need extra protection, stewardship etc? Why not contact your local colleges and universities about implementing similar programs. The concept is great.. we received 100 hours of comprehensive environmental and conservation education from professors and many local activists in our community. In turn for that we volunteer 100 hours of time in various capacities of Marine and land stewardship, non-profits , writing articles etc. it is great way of reaching out to your communities and more.
