The boys need to put away their war toys. I'm so tired of male aggression no matter how it starts, where it starts, and who is doing it.

With the Iraq war over and the Afghan war winding down it only stands to reason that the military industrial complex is looking for a new conflict to perpetuate their industry. You can expect them to say that it would be better for the US to take on the Iranians than to sit back and let Israel be the one to attack them. Israel will resort to whatever it takes to stop the Iranian nuclear threat and that just might include Israel's nuclear weapons. In some cases it would take a nuclear blast to take out some of the Iranian facilities.

It appears they are attempting to push the Iranians to the point that they take offensive action to block the Strait of Hormuz and once they have the rest of the Arab countries will push the US to insure free passage through the Straits and thereby eliminating some of the backlash that will surely surface when the US starts sinking Iranian ships. Some, but not all of the Gulf states will support the US action and those that don't openly support it will likely do so in private. The biggest Arab objections will come from the non oil producing countries such as Egypt.

I hate to say it, but it appears we are on our way to yet another war in the middle east. Enough is enough already. Let someone else fight the next war. The Arab world might raise a hell of a fuss publicly, but they all know Israel has enough nukes to wipe all of them out and Israel would be doing them a favor taking out Iran, who the all fear.

Excerpt: "Meir Dagan's been saying Israel can learn to live with a nuclear Iran, it can't live with the hell hole the region would become if his country launched a full-scale military assault against Iran. Don't know about you but if I had a choice, I know who I'd Meir Dagan has been saying that Israel can learn to live with a nuclear Iran, but it can’t live with the hell hole the region would become if his country launched a full-scale military assault against Iran. "Don’t know about you but if I had a choice between the strategic vision & intelligence background of Dagon or that of Ross, I know who I’d choose."

Important post Jae... It is so insane the way America has been handling foreign affairs it borders on self mutilation..Thomas Jefferson warned about America getting tangled in the affairs of Europe and that's exactly what has caused this escalation towards what amounts to destroying the planet.

If Iran has Nuclear which "We" fear then why is it so difficult to understand IRAN'S fear? Israel is always threatening and threatening.. The games people, power brokers, corporations are playing with the welfare of the planet's inhabitants is itself an abomination that needs to end.

I do not fear Iran's nuclear as much as I fear our own that's in need of serious repair and should be ended with alternatives implemented.. I fear Israel's Nuclear capabilities! This nuclear arms race was not begun by Iranians. They are not an ignorant country. They are, however, making life, each and every day, better for Iranians. America should consider doing the same for her citizens.

Gr$$d is the motivating factor taking the world & her resources into the abyss. How many more land masses will be damaged with Depleted Uranium and the other chemicals of war?

How many more beautiful cities of the Middle East will be destroyed? More importantly "HOW MANY MORE CHILDREN" and other innocence be asked to pay to feed insatiable gr$$d?

What price is not too high to pay to serve gr$$d soaked agenda's? Iran will not be the country to implement a first strike. This ancient land is the land of poets, not polluters and fools. It's up to America to get her priorities in order before she loses what little respect she may still have within the world community.

Wake up America. It's later then "We" think. Read Jefferson. Peaceful commerce with all nations. No allegiances, treaties nor alliances with any nation beyond our borders. This was profound thinking then and it should be equally profound thinking, with actions to follow, today!

It's no secret that government leaders have secrets known only to one another and not the people. .

You scratch my back.

I scratch yours.

Now how to do the scratching, that is the secret.

The UK has joined the US in current operations - I really hope that we can both stay out of this one. Some people make a lot of money out of war, ordinary tax payers end up picking up the bill and ordinary young men (and sometimes women too) end up giving up their lives; the UK has lost 395 Service personnel so far in Arganistan and 179 in Iraq. We have lost far too much.

It’s hard to add much more, except to affirm what Ralph, Barbara and Sheryl have eloquently set down here. But you all know me, I’ve got 2 cents worth in my pocket somewhere.
The all too obvious 500 lb. gorilla in the room is, as it always has been throughout the history of Empires, the Military Industrial Complex. They have and will continue to do what ever it takes to maintain, and increase in anyway possible, control of their 40% share of the national budget allotment. Not withstanding the resulting disproportionate power control over the actions of this nation engulfed in greed with its unquenchable lust for rapidly diminishing resources. Feed the beast or be devoured by it are the options they’ve laid down. Door #3 = evolution into sanity is not yet an allowed presented option. Evolving thru the stages of animal man to man, man on to god man is a horrifically slow and tedious process. Particularly when evil, gullibility, sloth in turning back ignorance, holds such dominion. In the words of MLK, .”And I've looked over, and I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land. So I'm happy tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man.” The Promised Land of which he spoke lays just the other side of mankind’s awakening into the light of self awareness. Throwing off of the shackles of fear and ignorance. a.k.a. Wake up to the reality, “we are all children of the one universal presence and can only be enslaved and controlled of the body, but never our minds and hearts. And even the body only when we allow it.” They can kill my body, but they can never stop me from evolving.
Namaste

One news anchor brought up a good point last night on their broadcast...things could sky rocket [no pun intended] by 'accident' ..just as when the U.S. shot down an Iranian passenger plane in the past. They ...no one probably..would accept such an action as an accident into political/war climate so off they'd go...rockets and that horrible, sickening, call of 'shock and awe'. A very thin tight rope is what is currently at hand ...we can all only hope they keep their cool on all sides...while reality says...something tragic could happen just any time over this.

OIL, what's it good for...? WAR ! $$$$

Maybe the warning was just that --an effort to deter further threats by Iran-- but I'm inclined to agree with everyone here because I also believe that the military-industrial complex is panicking over the fact that we're not currently involved in a major war and that President Obama has developed a plan to downsize our military --which affects their bottom line. The American public needs to make it clear that we will not tolerate another war for oil!
